How on earth can you expect JPEGS compressed at 85% to represent the true image quality from the blu ray disc, and yet you state the film is plagued with a lot of digital noise - you are basically killing any quality the BD has to offer plus your ADDING noise lol. i dont get how people think this rubbish is true to the actual product.
put the magnifying glass away and watch a BD the way its intended, from a kick ass plasma with an appropriate viewing distance - not 1-2ft from a computer monitor.
Hey, just because I bitched about your high eBay price.

Anyway, so would you rather I had uploaded the original untouched bitmap images and have everyone wait for 50 megabytes to download before we could look at them? As Ali said, the screenshots we post are for indicative purposes only. But even at 85% compressed, these JPEGs are near-identical to what the image actually looks like - I can't kill quality where there is none in the first place.
And I did watch the BD on a 42" 1080p plasma and wasn't impressed - the smearing caused by the DNR was clearly evident. No magnifying glass was needed. But I guess Eros are happy to believe you who don't mind or notice this kind of shoddy encoding are in the majority and will continue to eliminate all film grain on future BD releases.
Welcome to Zulm by the way.

no offence taken
I think when ppl think of Blu Ray they expect crystal clear clarity, which is present on alot of Hollywood films aswell as Saawirya but, in comparison for example like 300 grain is clealy added for effect - plus grain and digital noise are different things im sure. Now dont twist my words and say that i think Eros has added the noise for effect
You guessed wrong dude, im not saying OSO was good quality, iv stated on avforums that its not totally upto scratch and that their high defintion transfer needs to be improved. In my book i dont regard or ever have considered Eros to produce high quality dvds but there BD effort isnt bad either. Its brilliant to what iv seen in the past from Eros
I wonder how UTV's BD effort will turn out with Jodhaa Akbar.....
What plasma you got btw mate?
Cheers for the welcome!
