I've noticed that a lot of films have been given '18' certificates (the equivalent of 'A' certificate in India - not sure what the US equivalent is). The thing is I don't remember these films being that bad..........have I missed something, or are the criteria for rating films in different countries vastly different? Examples of 18 rated films include:

Appu Raja
Ladaai (Mithun)
Jaan Se Pyara (Govinda)
Aankhen (Govinda, Chunky Pandey)
