Actually, only the so called 'LED' TVs are local dimming. In fact even all the so called LED TVs are not local dimming, ie. the vast majority of these LED LCD TVs are side lit and all those are not local dimming. Only the very top end of them are actually local dimming.

Unfortunately LED manufacturer just dodged buyers by cutting down manufacturing expenses by only focusing on cheaper, low cost, inferior edge lit technology for LED by creating 3D diversion :(

Last of the good ones were sony xbr8, and Samsung 8500, that will never see the light again.

just saw this on new sets:

Coming back to the subject matter :) Any updates on when the UTV release is coming out (for Kaminey)? Based on Mr Chandna's posts on Blu-ray.com, the authoring is complete and ready for release...
I hope the UTV release does not get lost in the "coming soon" abyss!

That is a picture of the Moser Baer BD. The UTV logo is there simply because they have used the theatrical release poster for the cover art and since UTV is the producer of the movie their logo was on the poster.

How can Nehaflix sell Moser Baer discs in the US? I am not saying Sanjay is incorrect, it is obvious that the disc being sold is the MB version that was released for the India market. But I thought it is illegal to sell them here. BollywoodBlu-Ray (or whatever the retailer's name is who hangs around the BluRay.com forums) also does the same and openly sells it.
