[/b]No Watermark Logo, during songs or otherwise. <-- Kudos to 'T-Series' for listening to our feedback.

Is it just a coincidence that even the DVD release of TSeries Don did not have the logo anywhere during the film? I only have the Steelbook 3-Disc edition Btw.

Hindi - DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 (48khz) <-- Sounds like the DD track has been used to master this.

I would love to know if someone can very clearly 'enlighten' me as to what does 'Sounds like' mean in this statement. Also I seek info from the AV techies that if at all there exists any kind of tried and tested device/SW/tool that can help the consumer deciding whether its really a 're-encode' and not actually HD.

6. The song menu, should have a 'PLAY ALL' option.

Completely Agree with you. Can anyone provide a list of all Hindi Blurays yet in which this 'play all' option is actually there?

Something tells me that this is not a mere coincidence and that the producers of 'Don' may have something to do with there being no 'logo' on the DVD and now the BD. Hmm.. this would mean that this BD is not actually reflective of a change in T-Series policy regarding logo 'watermarks'. Oh no, why do I get the feeling that the 'watermark' is going to reappear on their next release. I sure hope I am wrong.

It is quite possible and I suspect it to be the case with atleast some Indian Blu-rays, that instead of using the original lossless audio master, the compressed & lossy Dolby Digital audio is used as the source for the 'DTS-HD MA' encoding. Thus the final product can only be as good as the source and obviously not better. This would explain why the 'DTS-HD MA' audio sounds uncannily similiar or even inferior to the DD audio on some Indian Blu-ray discs.

I don't think there is any BD yet, that has this option in the 'Songs' menu. Although, as a first, with the 'DON' BD, selecting any song from the song menu, works to the same effect. Except that, it only plays the song selected and the rest of the songs that come after it.

taare zameen par DVD from t-series was also without the t-series superimposed logo -- so these rare titles from t-series are exceptions and not the rule. you can be sure t-series will put their logo (superimposed on the film throughout) back on the next dvd/blu-ray.

You are spot on. If you get the hint. It seems my congratulating T-Series in the 'DON' BD review, for moving away from putting watermarks, was premature and undeserved.

Detailed Comments to follow....

Overall, I recommend this to all fans of the movie and or fans of Shah Rukh Khan. It is most certainly a substantial upgrade from the DVD.

Sanjay, I know u may be busy at this point watching/reviewing Race. But please complete this detailed comments section as well in Don review whenever u get time. I am a big fan of the film and I have yet to buy this BD depending on the completion of your review :) .
