I've been buying Indian dvd's for about a year now. I've noticed many different companies put out the same films & each of them vary slightly. The forums here have helped me pick out the best of the crop from the various pressings available. What I was wondering is if there are any companies that should be routinely avoided? Should Moser Bay discs always be avoided? Are they inferior & more likely to rot? I had a seller today tell me that I should never buy any DEI dvd's, that they always freeze up. The store owner also told me that all DEI dvd's are bootlegs. Now, I'm a bit confused...Why are there so many different versions of films available? Is Eros the rightsholder & DEI the distributer? Is B4U a distributer? Do these companies license the films from Eros or are they bootlegs? Today, I bought a copy of Namak Halaal on the recommendation of the shopkeeper. Its an Eros dvd from india with a .49 rs special price label on it. It didn't even play...Is that routine for Eros dvd's?
