i remember when srk was down here shooting for chak de india..and i shook his hand and wished him luck on don 2..and was like how did u know about that? anyway ever since this its been on and off..i think i cursed it lol..but anyway glad to see its finally happening.

Don sequel with Shah Rukh and Priyanka may now never happen

The much anticipated sequel to Don may not happen, as the lead players are all tied up with other commitments.

Farhan Akhtar was expected to start working on Don 2 in 2008, but this was delayed as the main lead star Shah Rukh Khan had other films on hold. The plan then was for a mid 2009 shoot but that too may get delayed. Priyanka Chopra, who starred in Don, says, “I think the sequel is a little far now. I don’t think it will start soon. Everyone involved in the project is pretty busy now I think with other work.”

An insider reveals more, “Farhan is busy with Luck By Chance in which he is acting and also with his next directorial film Voice From The Sky. So, as of now Don 2 is not starting.”

The insider adds, “Shah Rukh too is very tied up now. He has to look after the promotions of his own production Billoo Barber, then he will do Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan and then move over to his another production Happy New Year which Farah Khan will direct. He is also busy with his animation film Ravan. He does not have time for Don 2 at the moment but yes as everyone knows Shah Rukh is ready to act in the sequel.”

Farhan Akhtar (while doing promotion of Luck By Chance and on his show) said that Don 2 is definately on. They're just waiting for SRK to finish MY NAME IS KHAN and then SRK really has no major projects lined up except for Yash Chopra's next film. As for Farhan, he only has Karthik meets Karthik (opposite Deepika) on his slate and Don 2 is his next directorial venture.

Shooting is set to start later on this year for a Summer 2010 release

so yes people, we will see SRK as Don again!!
