CAUTION -- Mature/adult content in comment below
It did require a higher rating IMO. BTW, there's this song in which a line goes ... "O Boss DK"! Man!!!

So far so good. Also so much for Rediff's jumping to conclusions "Disaster" (Why do Indian papers make up verdicts)??

I think it's nothing but a personal attack on Akshay and his success. There is a deliberate attempt to cut him down by a certain group of people in the industry, no prize for guessing who. The fact is that he is by far the most consistent and successful star in Bollywood and has been so for a few years now. Although I don't particularly care for his normal brand of cinema, I still raise my hats off to him for achieving what he has without being part of any group.

I agree! Akki has been most dependable money machine for his producers, for whatever, atrocious films they churn out. Imho, CCTC will be a platform for Akki to be Jackie Indian Chan of stupid cinema with Marshal arts galore! But JC was making films him self and also, English Dubs and English language films give him fame. For Akki I will have to see, how successful he can be in this attempt. But again those Hong Kong flicks are pretty down dumbed at stories/plots and only depend on looks, cinema work and marshal arts, and for hindi cinema to attain that is not a big deal, just improve production quality, they r dumbed down any ways re their stories/plots.

I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Felt it really worked as a true convergence of Bwood and HK cinema. I mean anyone who can do a DRUNKEN MASTER meets DON dance/fight sequence gets some extra credit in my book. Also some of the night interiors with the reddish lighting reminded me of some of the Shaw classics. Not to mention a lot of Stephen Chiau influences (incl. the police inspector/beggar character played by Roger Yuen). Kumar hams it up but I found myself laughing hysterically in parts. Plus even culturally they found some common ground (the whole father/son saving face with the villain plotline, etc.). Gordon Liu is in great shape, FYI. And Mithun had a solid showdown with Liu as well. And yep, as in typical Bwood fashion, the stretched out the slow-mo closeups and the melodrama. Gotta love it!
FYI the crowd was the most diverse I've EVER seen at a Bwood film. Almost 40% non Indian including elderly and families! It was interesting to see how the crowd reacted at different jokes. The Indian crowd would laugh at the obscure references and the Western crowd at some of the crazed slapstick (yep, I concur that the plane stuff was some of the best stuff in the movie).

I and family liked it. It was a fun film and was up to what was expected from the film.

Surround Sound in theater was the best, so far, among Hindi films. Even better than Mangal Pandey. In Mangal Pandey, directional sounds (Gun shots etc) were distinct. In CC2C it was action surround at its best. Like, all speakers going full blast and with proper time lag for twister type sequences. Distinct directional sounds too were aplenty, often.

Film run time was 154 min (from start of beginning credits to end of end credits).
End credits showed Sound Mix: Dolby Digital (No DTS logo)

The movie has grossed US $8,194,339 (in four days). While the movie did not open as high as Singh is King Warner Bros is happy with the numbers. (much against the Indian papers who called the movie a "horrible disaster"

i tought it was a very entertaining film..all the songs wer good except for tere naina which was so forced into the plot it was funny..i think they didnt know what to do with it so they chucked it in where they did...youve gotta really leave your brain at home and let it watch an episode of lost or something if you really want to enjoy this...i felt it did drag a bit in the second half but eventually picked up pace..

What a shame the movie is not all that great. Specially the music really sucks, otherwise it would have been nice to get the Bl-Ray. Still hoping for a Region 'A' release of 'Jodha Akbar'.

For the week ending Jan 25th CC2C totals:

USA $ $869,611
UK $ $601,890

CC2C will beat out Saawariya in the USA who's total was $885,574 as CC2C should gross close to US 1 million in the USA.

Again against Indian media which "jump to far fetched conclusions" (IndiaFm) (go figure). The movie is doing well for Warner.

After viewing Boxofficeindia.com I have no idea where BoxofficeIndia got there totals for CC2c. As in the total for CC2C going by Boxofficeindia is US 5 million, and against Boxofficemojo the total is US 8 million. So today when I saw how quick BoxofficeIndia put (flop) next to CC2C I was laughing as the numbers stated by them are 3 millions dollars off. That being said sadly one cannot trust BoxofficeIndia.com I know for a fact that Boxofficemojo.com will alway adjust the numbers if they are incorrect.

So CC2C continues to do well even though BoxofficeIndia, and Indiafm have wrote the film off.

hope you know how box office defines "flop" versus "hit" versus "commission earner" ;-)
