The overall DTS track sounds good. My only complaint is that there wasn't too much sound coming from the surround speakers!!

Muz - Can you tell us something about the extras? What are they, and are they on a separate disc, or on the same disc?

Can someone delete the word "Songs" from the thread title? It prevents confusion.

Sure - the extras are on a seperate disc. They include a load of deleted scenes (I haven't watched this yet), two deleted songs (the Jaane Tu sad songs - male and female versions), making of Jaane tu ... (runs for about 1 hr 20 mins), CNN IBN interview with Imran and Aamir & some promos. Disc 1 - the movie has a full commentry track by Abbas Tyrewala. I listened to a short bit of the commentry, it sounds good so far. All in all a very satisfying disc.

Hadn't seen the movie before getting this disc so I was glad that I enjoyed it.

Thank you! That sounds good. I haven't seen the movie yet, so I just placed an order. :)

I've only seen the movie once and that was with the DTS sound! Next weekend I'll check out the DD5.1 sound.
I'm glad I waited for the original to come out and didn't see the pirate copy!

RELEASED BY T-SERIES (India) --and-- UTV (International)

Admins/Author pls rename this thread to
Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na UTV & T-Series DVDs

On DVD, this is the original theatrical version
without the female Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai song seamlessly added, though the missing song is on the bonus disc (but in stereo).

The DVD is said to be in true theatrical Aspect Ratio, the movie disc with its crisp picture and sound is a total delight, it is said.

A friend says he finds the AudioVisual quality on DVD slightly superior to what he saw in Cinemas!

Both international and India DVDs are identical except the UTV and T-Series logos preceding.

Also the male version of the same song is NOT in the movie itself but on the extras disc.

I didn't see the movie in the cinema - I'm just telling you what is on the DVD.

Thankfully the T-series DVD appears to be ALL REGION. Strangely, the pack does not mention dts.

I didn't see the movie in the cinema hall, but the DTS audio track sounded good along with the great PQ of the video.

Lately I have seen around three or four UTV DVDs (with Jaane Tu, A Wednesday, & Mumbai Meri Jaan) All DVDs have had really good Video (PQ) after the down fall of the Jodhaa Akbar DVD by UTV.

Nice to see UTV going back to doing proper DVD transfers again!!

The biggest thing I now have against T-Series is that all of their discs are now rotting .. All the discs from India namely Salaam-E-Ishq, Sarkar, Chalte Chalte and some old titles like Qurbani Rang Layegi, Haathi Mera Saathi and Palay Khan are now rotting. A new title like Bhool Bulaiya (the fancy pack) is also freezing up! God damn why cant these people get things right. Now I wonder when my blu ray discs of OSO and Hey Baby will rot!
