like a bit of a freak i stayed awake until 12.00 in the morning to watch the first digital showing of Episode 2.. and to tell u the truth im confused.. How is DLP better.. it seemed proper pixalated to me.. surely this isnt a betted medium.. as for the movie.. it was ok-ish.. i`ll still watch the originals.. they are untouchable!!

i watched toy story 2 in DLP at the Trafford centre and the pitcures looked quite glorious to me .I did notice some pixalation on a DLP screening of Vertical limit though but i would say there is an evidnt difference

i watched monsters inc on DLP at the filmworks and it looked awesome.. but i dont know why star wars didnt look to clever... maybe because i was sat on row A and i was half asleep!! :D

faddy, to enjoy dlp with the technology where it is today, the farther you sit, the better. DLP's resolution is far from being on par with film, so when you're close, the pixels appear quite a bit, especially in darker spots.

on top of that, lucas used the first generation of 24p digital cameras on episode II, so there was some pixelation evident in the darker scenes anyway.
