Me! I like the sound! But i always liked shilpa's etched bikini line lol. Nothing to do with film and BR.

I had $10 coupon from amazon, costing BR for mere $5.99, for delay they sent me $3 courtesy coupon, costing OSO ZEROS MARKA BR for $2.99 only, out of pocket! and I did not feel that heavy on my pocket for this disc!

But with all quality and crappy film, saawariya BR imho, is not worth mor than $10 either

The outdoors scenes are good but the indoor scenes with low light weren't too good! The sound is lacking in bass. Didn't think the sound was any better than the DVD!

I was referring to sync issue, being absent on BR

I don't think there's much hope for quality Bollywood Blu-ray discs when a giant like Disney can't even get their own BD transfers right, as this DNR'ed shot from the newly-released 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' testifies...

The future is waxy, it seems.

I was looking forward to seeing all the textures on the models. That does not even look like HD. Granted, that is one of the worst shots on the site, but some of the other shots aren't so great either.

I finally watched the whole Blu Ray. Image quality is uneven. Some shots look unfiltered or little filtered, others have DNR smearing. All are more or less soft. It never looks like sharp 1080p HD, but it's miles ahead of any Bollywood DVD and quite watchable. If it gets never worse than this from Eros we are lucky.
Since this is an Eros release I'm puzzled that there is no song menu. Huh??
They also cut out the intermission which is stupid and the resulting hard cut is annoying (especially the sound). Good thing there are no logos in the picture and no forced commercials or trailers.
I like the film ok. For a commercial mass entertainer it's sometimes almost sophisticated (for example the double meaning of the word OK in some dialogue). SFX are pretty good. And it's full of inside jokes about Bollywood and some Hollywood references. The villain's theme is very inspired from some James Bond theme.

How about from Madhumati ka Karz? :) or that might be in return orig first degree Hollywood inspirations.

Thanks.

Sound was an improvement from their out of sync bad SD.

Where can one buy the Blu-Ray disc for 'Om Shanti Om', Amazon has not had this in stock for a while now. I have a friend travelling to India from the US on the 9th of this month and I was hoping to be able to order it and have it delivered to my friend so that she can bring it for me to India. Thus, if anyone knows of a reliable & efficient place to order it from , please let me know ASAP.

Thanks.
