I'd be inclined to somewhat agree with JamesBond007: D wasn't terrible, but it was about as typical an affair as can be imagined -- quite certainly not..."pimpin'" (8-)).

as I mentioned before, I have NOT seen Company, yet. however, I have see Satya 2x, and yes, D has heavy influence from RGV's past films (felt like watching Satya) but it's good on it's own. I don't want another thread with you and Mola going at it  appreciate it for what it is, not what it coulda shoulda woulda :P or vice-versa

I have no intention of "going at it" with Mola, or anyone with anyone else, for that matter. I'm actually not the one who compared D to Satya or to Company; that was JamesBond007. I only agreed with him about the film's not being..."pimpin'" — .

Commando303, Bud...Bud.. I wasn't making a comparison either! more like, liken it to Satya and Company. I do agree all three movies stands on their own merits!. :)

am sure the 5.1 on the eagle dvd is mono really (like on all earlier eagle discs)

btw, the movie is 'D' (with single quotes) and not "D" (with double quotes)

Yep it is 5.1 but not genuine

PowerDVD claims it comes out all 6 channels but still sounds very mono'ish!

Oh boy! A stickler for details, eh! Ah well it's corrected as per the TITLE. By the way this symbol ( " ) is an apostrophe and is usually used in a quote, whereas the symbol ( ' ) is used to indicate a missing letter or letters as when shortening a word or phrase.

While I believe it is, indeed, 'D' (and we still have to underline or italicize it, as it's a title) — as it's written during the film's opening credits — it probably follows that Americans are more inclined to write it "D", as we use double–quotation-marks for almost everything.
