DEI will not be releasing any new film releases on DVD due to poor sales but will continue to release some of thier back catelogues on DVD (EVP, Bombino, J Om Prakash titles). As for thier next classic film release it looks set to be a couple of Punjabi films (sorry don't know the names) and Yateem (Sunny Deol).

Hey Sunny,

Whatever happened to the titles you mentioned on your site a long time back? Naam, Yaraana and Khabhi Haan Khabhi Naa etc? You had mentioned that they were suppose to release in December which has come and gone. Any word on these titles? I sold my Naam Bombino copy in the hopes of aquiring the DEI version.

Don't worry DEI have these DVD rights and will release them :)

Can't wait for the Naam DVD, which is a top Mahesh Bhaat film.

Depends on which discs we are talking about; Abhay (and I would imagine more recent DVDs from DEI) suffer from freezing problems same as Video Sound discs. Read here;

DEi definitely uses low quality. I have three dvds that don't work in my player, HDDCS, Rangeela & Satya. Now my Maachis dvd doesn't work and I have only watched it about 5 times! As I have mentioned before look closely on a DEi inner disc and you can see some faint dent marks. Not very obvious but it's there...

My DEI DVD of 'Tumko Na Bhool Payenge' stopped working today. It freezes in several chapters.

So I'm not the only one who had problems with Abhay freezing. I cleaned the frikkin disc 3 or 4 times and still it froze. Border also froze up on me a few times and I think Satya did as well.
