Audio will be out tomorrow. Excellent songs. Hats Off.

I also saw an interview from Himesh and he said that this is his "LAST tamil film as far as music goes", but also mentioned "I will continue to see how I can keep my south audiance happy"

The songs are underwhelming. Kallai Mattum Kandal is not bad. AR Rahman, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Vishal-Shekhar, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy would have done a better job.

ARR & YSR - For sure
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy - Definitely not. They have not been impressive in Tamil.
Vishal-Shekhar - Dont know

BTW Audio wont be out for few more days in US (Some issue with distribution). may be you will get mp3 and copies from India before US copy.

Aalavandhaan didn't have much scope for good music, but Dasavatharam seems like it would. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the film uses a little bit of music here and there and not full songs. That's the Kamal way :)

after few listening, songs are good but not sensational etc. Lot of songs are copied from various other songs across many languages!

I didnt like the idea of inviting (spending) to Jackie to the audio launch, but its worth inviting him.

What you saw was a humble human being and down to earth.

Read this - I saw this on Kalaignar TV and was absolutely speechless.

http://www.indiaglitz.com/channels/tami ... 38200.html

One correction from the write up "Only then did a couple of security staff come forward to the aid of Mr. Chan. " - This never happened. He handed over the garbage to some meeting organizer who was stepping down. No one on the stage noticed this, but the crowd (Kamal fans are mostly educated) applauded his action. Kamal also pat him on his shoulder for this.

He probably has seen it all and lot more off stage, and dont have to see it on stage. I believe he is looking at the camera man standing below.

But now that you mentioned, I wonder where Karunanidhi is looking at  Must be wondering why Kamal didnt release this when 40 years back 8).

Its funny, no one mentioned Mallika's name (Including Jackie!). So we all know that her "role" in the movie is "limited".
