I can think of two films, not listed so far.

1) Amitabh's Manzil where he is duped/ let down by a sweet talker and also it shows day to day struggles for survival/ money/ living.

2) Dustin Hoffman's "Hero" where his good deed credit is claimed by someone else, getting all the fame & glory, and he the real hero, keeps on getting humiliated.

Maachis (1996)
friendship between chandrachur singh & rajendranath zutshi is also very nicely picturised.
chandrachur revenge was the best part 'Jimmy.... Mil Gaya?'

Chandni (1989)
Sridevi running toward Rishi in Vinod's house caring for him and saying 'my rohit..'

Sujata (1959)
how Tarun Bose pleads to his wife to keep the orphan child

looks like not too people get sentimental watching movies.. :?

I know what you mean; recently watched Nasbandi (1978), Leela Mishra got crushed by a Bulldozer; pretty sensedead scene.

Last night, watched Wajood (1998) once again after a long time. I just can't take the humiliation scene when Nana returned home with the trophy and got beaten up by his father. Reminded me of my father how similiar he was to me. Everyone should watch this movie ATLEAST once to appreciate life and to acknowledge such unfortunate beings and their feelings.

I loved those scenes, between Nana and his DAD! One of most well written scenes! The dialogs between them are simply amazing and brilliantly written by Gulzar! 8)

Mayakkannadi - this didnt moved me emotionally but moved my life and career for good. Helped me to get my focus back on my core competencies. You normally dont see career oriented movie in indian cinema. This movie is a commercial flop and I avoided from watching this, but Madan's review in Vijay TV made me watch it and thanks to Cheran, Mayakkanadi changed my career for good.

 taptalk is messing with you!

Oh caught Shakti on TV the other day just flicking through channels, ended up watching it all -they just don't come as emotional as the AB/Dilip scene after the mum/wife dies. Quality of the movie is still amazing after all this time.
