Spiderman made $114 million over the weekend and passed Harry Pottar's previous record of $90 million. It'll probably do good untill Star Wars Attack of the Clones opens in 2 weeks!!

I saw the movie, i thought it was nothing great just ok. Alot of hype but not alot of substance!!!!

out!!!!!!!!

As comic book adventures go this was one the better ones; had bits that reminded me of Batman and Superman big screen adaptations. It’s a good pop corn movie and bound to come out with many sequels. I liked it very much :p

The CG (Computer Graphics) were very well done..and the costumes were mind-blowing..but Tobey McGuire sucks as an actor..he is annoyingly mono-tone....I hope when they make the sequels for the movie they pick a new Peter Parker..
:wot:

Peter Parker is supposed to be a nerd. Tobey was made for that part. I thought he acted good. Some parts dragged out but it was an entertaining story.

Man the movie sucked, the pace of the movie was so slow, I have never looked at my watch so much during the movie. The acting was ok, the CGI is exceptional, but the story pace was just bad. Too much talking, not enough action, the only excuse for that is they are setting up as to what is going to be a big franchise of movies. Been playing the Spider-man for Gamecube, which happens to be a whole lot better when dealing with the storyline, gameplay is also really well done. In 2 weeks no one will even remember the movie Spider-man, because the people over at ILM (the leaders in CGI) are going to amaze movie fans all over the world for one of the most anticipated movies of all time: Star Wars Episode II - Attack Of The Clones. :nervous:

Pre-Spider-Man release, I was soo skeptical about this film, but I went to see the film last night with friends, and I was completely shocked. It was a really good film, the story & character sketches were quite loyal to the actual Stan Lee Comic Book. I loved the confrontation scenes between Spider-Man & the Green Goblen, the action scenes were great, they were done in such a classic manner for this action-oriented hero. I just might go see it once more on the big screen.

I happened to see it First day (Matinee) ( and hope to repeat the feat Next Friday also...If I get a ticket that is ..you know for what !)...

Imust say that this film is basically a Kids flick (very similar to BATMAN.... )

Bruce Wayne : Joker :: Peter parker:Green Goblin

Parents get killed : He takes revnege :: Uncle gets killed:he takes revenge

Joker gets metamorphosized::Goblin gets metamorphosized !

Coem on Hollywood dont you have some originality left ?

I think the only worthwhile scene was MJ's see through dress in da whole film :D (peace!)

Star Wars is the movie from where the Green Goblin's helmet was copied from. The helmet sure looks alot like Darth Vader's helmet!!!!!!!

hey guys, while there may be similarities between the Spiderman and Batman stories, and the Green Goblin/Darth Vader mask, there's no copying going on here.

Spiderman is based on a series of EXTREMELY POPULAR comic books - and this movie's story is derived straight from the original stories (except for the absence of Gwen Stacy). Green Goblin looked pretty similar to his comic book version (some modifications were made) so he's NOT a copy of Darth Vader.

...It's confirmed. The next villain in the sequel to Spider-Man will be Octavious- the Octopus.
