Mehboob Khan’s masterpiece is beautifully shot on Gevacolor and then transferred onto Technicolor stock and the vivid colours shine through action, romance and sorrow

You people are so lucky to watch it on the big screen...
:alien: hope the print is good

Any word on a US release? It's looking better and better to move to the UK right now.

I don't know if there will be a US release as this season seems to be run by the British Film Institute. However there are special publications being released by the BFI that you will be able to buy in the US. (Books on Mother India, Yash Chopra, Noor Jehan etc.).

It's probably a good time to arrange a holiday to the UK ... after all who knows when these films will be screened again.

I am especially looking forward to Mughal-E-Azam - I only hope that they have as many screenings of this film as they do of Mother India.

The Mother India URL mentions that Mughal-E-Azam will be shown but no dates have been announced yet.

Thanks,

Muz.

Yes circa 2002 I did see this season in the cinema. Suffice to say that I couldn't watch the trash DVDs again after seeing these movies in all their glory on bye big screen.
