See edit/update belowMukta Arts titles have been acquired by EROS, at least in India.
Hopefully, they'll do new transfers and give us uncropped widescreen dvds of Subhash Ghai's celebrated movies! Edit: No! Not existing titles, but new movies have been acquired...

Earlier, Mukta Arts dvds in India were with Shemaroo, who seem to have lost some other titles too to EROS in India.

Bad news -- no -- not existing titles, BUT NEW films have been acquired by Eros :-(

Sorry guys!

Quote:
Eros International, the London AIM has entered into a joint venture with Manish Goswami’s Red Carpet Films, a Mukta Arts company, to co-produce three to four films a year under this banner.

In a separate deal, Eros has also acquired global distribution rights of three forthcoming releases of Mukta Arts, which include Bombay 2 Bangkok directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, Yuvraajstarring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, and Black & Whiteboth directed by veteran showman Subhash Ghai.

Commenting on the development, Sunil Lulla, President India for Eros said, “We are excited about tying up with one of the leading veterans in the industry like Subhash Ghai. With this tie-up, we continue to focus on our strategic priorities that include presenting quality film content to discerning audiences. We are looking forward to leveraging Eros’ global distribution in releasing this bouquet of prestigious releases by Mukta Arts.”

“Mukta Arts and Eros enjoy a special relationship and through this tie-up for our films, we are confident of reaching out to a wider number of audiences worldwide through their excellent distribution infrastructure. We have had a great past track record with Eros with super hits going back a long way like Ram Lakhan, Khalnayak, Pardes and Taal”, added Subhash Ghai.

Bombay 2 Bangkok, a breezy cross-cultural story directed by Nagesh Kukunoor stars Shreyas Talpade and Thai actress Lena Christensen in lead roles along with a special appearance by Naseeruddin Shah. With Yuvraaj and Black & White, showman Subhash Ghai dons the director’s hat again. While Yuvraaj, a musical extravaganza has Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, Black & White; a social thriller will showcase two new comers Anurag Sinha and Aditi Sharma along with Anil Kapoor as the protagonist.

Just an update re BTB, Man!! I thought I was pretty tenacious but Thanks to GHAII, KUKUNOR, even I was not able to stick with it viewing for even 15 minutes! I am  How did masses pay for such crap and flock the theaters! :(

It is simply atrocious aim at commercial cinema @ its worst! :(

DVD transfer though looked pretty decent with proper 3:2 deinterlacing to progressive frames!

I do not know if SS were posted here? could not find/search!

STAY AWAY and to hell with MURDA ARTS!
