And aren't the menus done really well?

IMO .. no they are rather annoying plus there is no song menu. It is a slight change from usual ERO$ menus but still not good ..

Are you guys talking about the same DVD? Didn't Excel release this one in India?

The DVD released in India is by Eros and quite honestly I thought it was one of the better Indian DVDs I have seen. It is definately the best Eros DVD to date. As for the film? I guess it is what one can expect from a person like Sajid Khan, in one word, crap.

that's encouraging about the dvd quality :-)
EDIT: Excel's role: In "friendly" capacity to Sajid Khan in terms of advising him about the best Blu-Ray authors...

There are three Hindi Audio tracks.
5.1 @ 384 kbps
2.1 @ 224 kbps
2.0 @ 192 kbps.

I can see some logic to 5.1 and either of 2.1 or 2.0 tracks but why 2.1 and 2.0 tracks, both ??
Any idea ??

And, has any body seen or scanned the 4 hrs of "Making Of -- " feature ??
Any interesting bits in it ?? Is it worth spending time on ??

2.1 is quite a bit used by users on their PCs. Maybe that's the reason?
2.0 - pure stereo, especially for the headphone variety?

BTW, they are not on my dvd of Heyy Baby.
I have 5.1, 2.0. and 2.0 - director's commentary - three options.

The bass is really overdone or not correctly done on this dvd -- play it in a 5.1 setup and you'll hear bass going out of control.

Just finished watching this... the movie is miles ahead of Dhamaal.
It has the finesse and sophistication I found missing in Dhamaal.

Very clever direction and a damn good screenplay. Sajid and Farah are surely to watch out for.

The audio, except for the abused bass, is top notch -- especially the 5.1 separation is a pleasure. Very niice!!

Excellent home entertainment.

The downside -- climax.

Unbearable out of sync BASS! :( and plot strictly for MATURE viewing!

One thing no doubt Akki had better screen presence than sarook with Sherwani and Baby cut :o

The sequel THREE MEN AND A LITTLE LADY is also said to be as enjoyable as the original THREE MEN AND A BABY which seems to have been the inspiration for HEYY BABYY.

I think I know why Sajid Khan must have decided to his version of THREE MEN AND A BABY -- it's directed by Leonard Nimoy -- who... -- arrey apna Mr Spock from Star Trek ;-) who must have been amongst Sajid's childhood heroes 8)

I finally got around to seeing this movie on the eros dvd and thought that the sound track was great. The bass from this DVD on my SVS PB12-NSD subwoofer sounded great. The bass didn't sound out of control to me, it really blended in well with the rest of the sound track on my 5.1 set up! What kind of subwoofer are you using?

I'm using these speakers with a Yamaha RX-V1600 receiver.

It's not just me who's experienced bass problems with Heyy Babyy ;-)

I played it on two home theatre 5.1 systems:
1) Sony FL5D -- let me see if I can get you woofer specs
2) Samsung... can't recall my friend's model number

The problem with most home theater in a box subwoofers is that they sound boomy and bottom out very quickly. Click on the link below to see the subwoofer I have, the bass from the HB DVD sounds fantastic on it.
