This is so funny, that Ram Gopal Varma thought this was gonna be his ultimate masterpiece that he even put his name in the title. And to think that some of you actually thought this was gonna be good. After seeing the promos, I knew it was gonna be total crap and it turned out to be even worse than the promos suggested.
By the way the new "Mehbooba" in Aag is one of the worse songs and stupidly vulgar dances ever done. It's not sexy, it's just plain embarassing. How can Ram Gopal Varma make such a bad film? He's lost it.
Amitabh is quickly overtaking shahrukh at being India's number 1 OVER-actor! His version of Gabbar was a caricature and reminded me of another role he played in Aks (when he became Raghavan).
Ajay Devgan proved that he's losing whatever talent he once had after giving a weak performance in Omkara. Nisha Kothari is quite simply a bad actress and she's no better here than any of her other films. The less said about her the better. Ram Gopal Varma is an idiot for trying to promote her. Sushmita Sen tries but is still no good. I don't even want to talk about the other actors.

Don't look at this film in the cinema. Don't look at it on DVD. If you really must see it, then download it, but I still think that'd be a waste. This film was worse than a Sanjay Gupta film. As a matter of fact, maybe even Sanjay Gupta could've done a better job.

I'm not looking forward to Sarkar 2. With RGV gone Arurag Kashyap may be our only hope.

This is the most reliable feedback on the movie.

Does anyone know anything about Ram Gopal Verma Ki Mughal-E-Azam where he's also bringing in Birbal?

Update: Because of copyright issues, he's renamed this to
Shyam Gopal Wormaa Ki Chugali-Azam...
It's now set in the same chawl Aag was to save money... Pyar Kiya To Darna kya will be remixed as an item number with Urmilla Matondkar.
Amitabh will be playing a don called "Fuckbar" based on Mughal-E-Azam's "Akbar" and Abhishek will be playing "Raizada Tully-een" based on "Shazada Saleem"

Birbal will of course be Ajay Devgan, now called "Bare Ball"

I haven't seen the film yet, but I have seen the "Mehbooba Mehbooba" video: it's pretty good, though the hip-hop portions don't do it for me. Amitabh Bachchan was fucking phenomenol in Aks; he gave one of his career's finest performances there, and that's saying a lot. I was shocked to hear that Ajay Devgan would be enacting the part of Veeru (Devgan was always terrible in comic roles), but I'll put off making comments till after I've watched the movie.

OK, the Mehbooba number is the only good thing in the movie AAG -- it really is done pretty well, but what use? Rest of the movie is a shame :-(
I also agree that Amitabh was good in Aks, but Commando303 brother, in AAG, instead of improving on that performance or even carrying it forward, Amitabh has ended up parodying it :-(
The theatre where I saw AAG had about 20 patrons, and 10 of them were elderly folks who had just come to see how the new Sholay compared to the old. I can tell you these gentlemen and ladies were the most disappointed.
AAG has nothing to take back home...

Aks was strange and exciting with Bajpai enacting Amitabh who's enacting Bajpai and with Amitabh enacting Bajpai who's enacting Amitabh (as required by the storyline).

It's a matter of opinion and taste if you liked "Mehbooba", but I absolutely hated it. I saw the promos and I wasn't impressed. When that song was on, I actually wanted to leave, make a phone call, tell a friend about how terrible the film is, then go back in once the song was over!

As for Amitabh in Aks, he was very good in a film that I think was underrated, I was just making the comparision that while looking at his Babban, it felt that he was repeating himself with the performance he gave as 'Raghvan' in Aks, where he did a far better job. Babban was just a too over-the-top version of Raghavan and turned out a silly caricature. AB should really be ashamed of himself. He hasn't let himself down so badly since Boom.

There are other things I could complain about this film, but since many still haven't seen it I won't go there. I'm itching to spoil it for everyone. I didn't like the Don remake much, but it's a masterpiece compared to this trash. It's as if RGV actually set out to make a bad film. How can he possible think he's done a good job?

Some people have said this is the worse Indian films in recent years. I still think it's slightly better than KANK.

Unlike KANK or DON-remake or any other movie, I guess on AAG everyone is agreeing unanam. that it's bad! That's quite something! So it is bad! Truly bad!

True! Very true!! Compared to AAG, every other remake is a masterpiece. AAG is not a remake. It's a TV-show spoof/parody.

Damn. I was SOOOO ready to go see this movie on the big screen.
Then the reviews started trickling in. I can't be bothered wasting my money now.

I enjoyed Bajpai, more than Amitabh, as bad guy, his act was simply superior than Amitabh!

Manoj Bajpai (whom I often don't even like very much) was great in Aks, but Amitabh Bachchan simply owned that film. I haven't yet seen Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, but I'm almost comfortable guaranteeing that it's better than Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. I tend never to read reviews or opinions before watching a movie, and I regret having done so this time. I far prefer watching a film, gathering my thoughts on it, maybe writing them down, and then perhaps seeing what others thought.

I never read reviews either --- that's why I went boldly to the theatre to see AAG only to find that this time the reviews were actually right and undebatable. This is one of those exceptional situations where things are so bad that nobody can salvage anything at all ;-)
