First, I was a big fan of the first two movies in this franchise, so this one really needed to impress me in order to keep up. Well needless to say this movie was AWESOME! It's more intense, more action, more suspenseful, more everything than the first two movies. Jason Bourne is a total badass. Gets you right from the start and just never lets up. The action scenes in this thing kept me on the edge of my seat nearly the entire movie. The best action movie I've seen in several years. Better than Live Free or Die Hard and way better than the Transformers movie!

Warning to those who've never seen the first 2, it assumes you know what happens in the first 2 and refers back to a lot of past movie information.

Watched both the first Bourne movies back to back for the very first time last weekend, very good movies - I don’t know how I managed to avoid them for so long :o

Looking forward to The Bourne Ultimatum.

From what I've heard this is the best one of the series. The first two were very good, although I did get tired of the 'shakey camera' for the second movie. The second one had the beginning set in Goa, which I though was surprising as you rarely see India in American films. The Bourne films have their own style and are quite different from the Bond and Mission Impossible films which they are sometimes compared to, but the only films I've seen similar to them were Enemy of the State and Shooter.

If you've read Ludlum's novels, these movies disappoint because they totally do away with "Jackal"

NewDeep, I've heard that the original Bourne identity film, starring Richard Chamberlain as Jason Bourne is more true to the book by Robert Ludlum.

What I find funny is the "poster war" going on with the most recent Bond film and the Bourne supremacy and now Ultimatum. I'm not sure if they are trying to outdo each other or reference/'compliment' each other. Look at the poster of the Bourne Supremacy and you'll see Jason Bourne in dark clothes walking holding a gun in his right hand. Look at the Casino Royale poster and you'll see a similar pose with Bond walking with gun in right hand and facing the left. Now in the Ultimatum poster you see Jason Bourne in a more similar pose, but the gun is in his left hand and he's facing slightly to the right.
This is definately deliberate. I don't know if both camps are trying to outdo each other but I find this quite amusing. Maybe they're trying to get their fans fighting, but I find most people who like the Bond films also like the Bourne films and vice versa.

A limited edition of the dvd of The Bourne Ultimatum has been released by BIG in India - it comes with a free copy of the complete novel by Robert Ludlum! It is also available without the novel at the same price...

This is BIG's first Hollywood DVD I think -- pretty neat -- but then it's imported.

Universal titles went from SaReGaMa to BIG in India, and MGM went from SaReGaMa to Excel.

I have seen all three movies and My fav is Bourne Supremacy because although ultimatum is brilliant and probably the best action movie in decades, but its action sequences are not original. Most of the stunts in Ultimatum look similar to/ inspired from those in supremacy so the first time these stunts were executed- thats supremay for me. And btw, i havent read any novels.. and judging only by films.

The best part of all three dvds is that they have a very interesting Directors commentry which gives u hell of an insight into the wit and smartness involved in bourne as a character as well as a movie. Eg: in supremacy, there is a 2 sec scene where bourne in berlin while going in a Taxi looks at some posters announcing a protest at a station. later he calls nicky at that station bec he knows he can use that crowd to his advantage !!! one can never know the significance of that 2 sec scene unless u hear the commentry.

And yes supremacy begining with India was pretty pleasant surprise. Anyone knows any more hollywood movies shot in India? cause i thought only know one more such movie- Octopussy (007).
