I'm back home in Halifax now, so no access to more dvds. Naseeb is letterboxed but I think it's still cropped. Miles better than the baba DVD release. I was shocked Mard, Coolie and Naseeb got the decent DVD treatment. Now if TnT could do Mahaan.

I just bought the Moviebox version of Suhaag and Shakti.

They are similar to their USA counterpart, WEG DVD. However while WEG is NTSC the MOVIEBOX DVDs are in PAL. There are no signs of standards dub of NTSC into PAL. The DVD is 100% pure PAL...but interlaced.

However, don't get too excited. The quality is just as shit.
(forgive my language). I would only buy if you a) don't have the previous WEG versions, and b) are a big Big B fan, like me.

If it's direct film to PAL it won't give combing on Progressive displays. Essentially, it must be Progressive??

Sunny, this thread went stale .

Even though you commented Movie Box Suhaag and Shakti are crap prints, I'm sure they must be a lot better than any alternate versions as you mentioned/ implied that these are direct Film to PAL versions.
Earlier in the thread " brownboy05 " mentioned that MB Suhaag is same transfer as WEG. But, WEG is PAL to NTSC converted Field Averaged and MB Suhaag is PAL. So, it must be Film to PAL master to PAL DVD that must be Default Progressive (interlaced technically but as good as progressive). Then it must be better than WEG NTSC DVD.

Perhaps same goes for Shakti.

Pl. comment.

The TNT DVDs of coolie, mard and naseeb can be ordered from musicyogi.com, as they ship to the uk. I got my coolie last week, as well as karma and saudagar.

Alternativly - I bought the TNT version of Naseeb from Raj Deep Videos in Tooting. They have a good stock of original DVDs from around the world.
