Arsh, I guess you are referring to the Don DVD, with the extra fields. I bet he signed off on the HD transfer but didn't know about the encoding/compression.

I think there are only 10,000 copies as it says each box is serial numbered from 0 to 9999

The only online Indian stores I know of that ship internationally are FirstAndSecond.com and WebMallIndia.com.

There is techncial competence and there are artistic decisions. The former can be expected from a good mastering house. The latter can only be made by the film makers. If they are not available an experienced telecine operator and colorist can surely make a good looking product, but if it's the look the film makers wanted is not guaranteed at all. If they get a reference 35mm print they can just try to copy its look. But prints are not optimal for telecine. Ideally they should get a correctly timed IP and replicate its look. If they get original negative the film makers are required or the end result is just guess work unless they have again a print for reference. Whether the film makers care at all and even have a clear vision is then again another issue. :D

On the way to me in a shipment. Together with Matrix Trilogy. :D
I also have a new projector in the house for testing: JVC RS1 clone. Except for black level and some minor issues amazing picture and a valid CRT replacement. I'm impressed.

This looks like a very nice package, and I would love to see Chale Chalo, but Rs. 1999 is about USD $50! I don't need the film strip or the coin or any of those physical extras.

KOOL, I got both! BTW! When I saw POTC 3rd one in theatre, I was so amazed to see, how color fidelity/pellete looked consistent to what I saw on BD.

I never liked DMC but just for GOOD DVD has ordered that too.

BTW, what do you think, re 1080P upscale of SD on PS3? I am loving it. I am returning my XA2, I dont need it any more for marginal difference and slow transport.
