Are they still making theatrical prints from the OCN in India?

Sadly, yes...which is why they go into degradation quite quickly due to bad over-mishandling in labs.

Sunny, did the films you mentioned (Vallavan, Varalaaru, etc.) have DIs?

I Heared the Vallavan Have DI. In an interview Simbhu say he will shoote the loosepenna on 5days before the theater release and DI was done in the same day with the shooted scean and Censor the film by Reel by reel on one day

Only the songs were done in DI, for special effects shots and grading purposes. But the film itself does not have a DI master from start to end.

I offer technical advice towards South Indian cinema, and don't work for Ayngaran. I hear a lot of things through the grapevine since the people I have direct contact with are linked with actors/film-makers...

I just ordered this movie from dvdunlimited.com. I am curious about if this movie any good as Gautham's Kakka Kaakka. I don't have any high expectations on the acting sides since I don't consider kamal and jyothika as good actors but I have heavy expectations on Gautham's direction.

I like to know what are the future releases from Ayangaran.

Thank You Shahran Sunny Audit. Will ayangaran release EMATTAN MAGAN (??) also? I am looking forward to watch VEYYIL and EMATTAN MAGAN on Ayangaran DVD's.

Hi Yuvan, I didn't say I don't like Kamal Hassan. I just don't consider him as a good actor who can fit into any role easily. I loved his VIRUMANDI, he was excellent in Anpe Sivam but he is very limited in expressions and body laungages. I always watch his films with no expectations and I love it when he surprises me like in Virumandi and anpe sivam. I do not want an argument about this matter in this great thread.

Emtan Magan is expected to be released this Friday. I have seen the DVD preview, and I'm sure you'll be happy with the picture and audio quality. Also releasing is Jambavan.
