Just caught an extended preview of this on AVS just yet. IMO this is a bold move by Anil Kapoor(he produces this). Its an English language feature and the scale looks large. I wonder if this is the movie based on GANDHI VIRUDDH GANDHI a play that was banned in Mumbai from being staged because of the controversial nature of the subject. It dealt with how the father of the nation was a failed parent in real life.

The movie is going to premier at Cannes in 2007 and looking for worldwide distribution for summer of 2007.

I, too saw the preview on AVS last week and the film certainly looks well polished. Additionally, a new filmmaker is at the helm. Always interesting to see a new approach(if any) from a newbie. Having said that, being that Anil Kapoor is the producer, I'm skeptical whether the director had complete control over the film's creativity.
