Welcome! :P

Making of music( for people other than hardcore green eyed beauty fans  imho, music was the RSVP of this Dutta's flick), otherwise this 3 hours plus long treacherous film, does nothing but hurt Umrao's character as an artist poetess, rather portraying her as a ill fated prostitute only! :( Imho! Aish was not the right ambassador face for it!

Dutta in Music Making, describes 3 Goals for his film:

MUSIC
LANGUAGE
FACE

** Thanks to Malik, and Javed he got first two right, for soundtrack and background! But for Screen play and diologues, and their delievry he and his team were faultered big time!

Face: Imho! it was Dutta's visionary face was based on commercialism not the character strength and it was his MISSED VISION! and he got bad results!

set designs

costume designs

theatrical trailer

forthcoming

now available

** Babul will be ADLAB brand!

Thanks for the info, arsh! I don't know of anyone who actually liked the movie, but I still want to see it as I'm a fan of both Aishwarya and Abhishek.

I didn't manage to catch this film in theatres so I'm not sure, but those colours look really bizarre. Is that how the movie looked at the cinema? The TV promos definitely didn't. It looks like a black and white film that's been colourised - ala MEA.

Progressive DVD good job by the Anil Ambani controlled Adlabs group which is now part of Reliance (Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group).

Nice to see Eros Entertainments monopoly on DVDs shrinking thanks to UTV, and Adlabs.

ksingh ji, what happened to group here? It does not get worse with this atrocious dvd that acts as a final nail, in Dutta's MIS VISIONED UMRAO's COFFIN! unfortunately! :( Alas! He started with good music though!

DVD looks as fake as Aishwarya 's portrayal as Umrao jaan

I'll request rana sahab to comment as he watched film twice so, hopefully it was not the case of NTSC system where colors are not the same twice

Theatrical screening was excellent. Very colorful without being gawdy. Plus, it had excellent surround ambience even in Mujras. To me it was very enjoyable show.
