Found this on TFMpage:

Quote:
1.Police Police- A rehash of the song Botany from Shiva (Telugu).

2.Josh Mein by Yesudas is a rip off of Vidiya Vidiya Nadanam from Tamil Film Idayathai Thirudaathe with slight variations.

3.Saara Yeh Aalam - A duet version of the classic Aanantha Ragam Ketkum Kaalam from Tamil film Panneer Pushpangal.

4.Shapath-A percussion/mantra style dominated track rendered by Maestro himself is the theme song of the album.

5. Kaise Kahen by Sadhna Sargam & Roop Kumar Rathod is pretty decent
which reminds Ninaivo Oru Paravai from Sigappu Rojakkal(especially listen the start).

6.Dheeme Dheeme- The pick of the album. The solo from the young
nightingale Shreya is classy. If this song reminds any previous work from maestro,Anybody cud comment.(Sorry for my poor memory regardin this track).

I haven't heard about this being dubbed in Tamil like in Telugu.

I've listened to the songs once so far, and my current pick is Dheemi Dheemi.

You can listen here. CD is expected next week here :)

http://www.musicindiaonline.com/l/17/s/movie_name.8571/

Songs are very good. 4 of them are old tamil/telugu tunes, but the instrument usage is different and more suited for NI music. Dheeme Dheeme is definitely new tune/song for me and is definitely pick of the album.

ok, so last night was the BIG night. I rushed from work through the horrid traffic. Got a parking spot, felt lucky, then when I got to the theater, I was shocked( j/k) to see that there was no line :D.

well, I picked up my tickets, rushed through the door, only to be asked if I "got the message about Shiva?". Surprise surprise, Shiva's print didn't arrive. The exhibitors seemed to have told the Egyptian Theater that the print is stuck at Heathrow. Instead they said they were going to play a DVD version of the film. HAHAHA, Indian DVD by Adlabs?? right?? I could watch this crap at home. They said if I don't like the print, I can get a refund within 10mins. Well, I sat through the ads, then as soon as I saw the "adlabs" title print on the screen, I got up to leave. 4:3, yes, thats right, 4:3, letterboxed, worse than VHS crap, with barely legible subtitles. What a :ffs: disaster  :ffs:

I asked them how they were able to get a DVD copy. They said that it's the demo (Screener??) they received. This copy wasn't completely edited either. Apparently they didn't color out some bunji cords in last action scene.

there were about a dozen other guests who watched the movie, other than my guest and myself, and the theater employees. my guest and I were the only indians there. when Shiva let out, I asked a couple what they thought of the movie, "really good". someone else said, that although he wasn't expecting singing & dancing musical, and the film would've been better without them, he and the rest of the audience enjoyed the singing/dancing/songs. I heard clapping/cheering at the end of the movie. Are you reading this izzy? (j/k :P). Guess even with the horrid print, people enjoyed the film.

It's a $#*)@ shame that adlabs/rgv can't get their shit together. don't know who to blame.

I'm upset with the theater for not notifying me in advance of the issue. If they didn't dispatch emails, the least they could've done was update their crappy websites

my night ended on a positive note with Ek Hasina Thi. although I think the film would've been much better had RGV directed it himself, it was really good none the less. beggers can't be choosers. heh. again the audience clapped. one of the theater employees said "That was actually really good" (he's seen a lot of crappy movies in the late 80's, early 90s), and he's used to watching film noir at the theater, most of which is targetted towards women so last night was a welcome change for him. well, he's just got Company/ATC tonight 8) they assured me these prints are in good shape!

but a BIG F.U. to ADLABS!!

Wow, Yuvan, that sucks. My local Desi theater did not list Shiva on their website, and they get most of RGV's films. Maybe they didn't get their print either.

according to reports the film has been postponed to the 15th...

Shiva 2006 postponed to Mid-Sept

Ram Gopal Varma’s latest film, Shiva 2006, was supposed to release on August 25th. But the film’s release date has been postponed. With heavy rains in many parts of Andhra Pradesh, the film’s release date pushed ahead. It is now likely to release by Mid-September.

DU, I caught the summer flu as well. lol. sick for more than a week :?

Shiva isn't the only thing they messed up. They screwed up the audio track for Company  One would think they would take extra care to make sure everything runs smoothly after the disaster from the night before. I don't know what goes on in the projection room, but one of the employees was shocked when I told him that the audio was in stereo sound, and crappy one at that. he said he would go scream at his crew. they fixed it for Ab Tak Chappan.

Company is pretty good, but I want to see it again as it had some excellent background score, which went to waste with crappy audio. Vivek rocks!

Ab Tak Chappan reminded me of Training Day. Overall, a decent film.

I read news earlier that Shiva (Telugu) is postponed to Sept 11 or 15th. But I thought that was just for the Telugu release.

I very much liked Company; I'd rank it as Ram Gopal Varma's best "underworld film" (which, at this point, stacks it above about a million other projects). Ab Tak Chhappan is simply one of my favorite Varma films, and was one of my favorite movies of 2004. It in no way reminded me of Training Day.

Now ‘Shiva’ in Tamil, Telugu
By Taran Adarsh, August 29, 2006 - 09:00 IST
It’s slowly becoming a trend to dub a much-anticipated Hindi film in regional languages. Rakesh Roshan’s KRRISH was dubbed in Tamil and Telugu languages and released along with the Hindi version at one go. Now Ramgopal Varma is planning to release SHIVA in three languages on September 15: Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. “You reach out to a wider audience simultaneously. Besides, if you think your film has potential and may work in regional sectors, dubbing helps,” RGV tells me, “This is the real reason why the film was shifted from August to September.”

Meanwhile, RGV has clarified that the new SHIVA is different from the one he made more than a decade ago with Nagarjuna. “That was set in a college campus, this one is in a police station,” he states.

WELCOME TO THE COMPANY: THE MOVIES OF RAM GOPAL VARMA

India wasn't on Firecracker's map... until we saw the movies of Ram Gopal Varma. One of four special sections in the Tiger Eye Firecracker Showcase, Welcome to the Company acts as a thumping introduction to one India's most undeniable filmmaking talents, and a man who would give the likes of Michael Mann or Martin Scorsese a run for their money.

Welcome to the Company presents four piledriving thrillers - that will change your idea of "Bollywood" for good. Be sure to also check out our interview with Ram Gopal Varma in this issue...
