Very nice trailor and the song sounds great too. The posters and trailors have been hit or miss (first poster with the Matrix like look seemed cheap but the second one with SRK in the chair was good; first promo seemed kind of cheesy, but this one has a lot of style), but the songs/music has been kick ass throughout. Still very much looking forward to this film to see what Farhan has done.

Really, you think the song is good? Honestly I was just about to post, how poor the song is, specially compared to the original 'Main hoon Don'. I really wish they had simply remixed the original title song and used it in this remake. I am sure it would have sounded a lot better than this and would have been just the right thing to do considering that this is a remake/tribute to the original. The original film had some excellent music by Kalyanji Anandji and I am sorry to say this song not only completely pales in comparison, but is also not good enough on it's own.

I also happened to catch a promo of the film on television today and I must say it couldn't have been any worse than this. If for a moment one would forget about the cast and film makers involved with the project, it looked like a C grade film, specially with the 'I am Kiiing' echoing in the background. 'Cheap' is all I could think of.

I agree the first promo was pretty bad, as I mentioned. The song, I guess we just have to disagree. I agree that the original Don had some great tunes, but I actually prefer having new songs in this one rather than remixing the old ones. I'm expecting more of a revision of the previous Don than a scene by scene remake, which is why I like the more techno-ish tunes, but still subtly paying tribute to the old Don (a remix would be too gimmicky). Anyway, Don is still my all-time favorite AB film, which is why I'm excited about this.

The "Main Hoon Don" thing that was linked to was strictly OK. I guess nothing can hold a candle to Kishore Kumar, and Don has some of the greatest songs ever. Comaprisons aside, though, I, too, felt that the song was less than impressive; a very "typical" venture. I guess I'm somewhat biased, though, as I simply hate "classics"' being re-made; I suppose I just ought to be thankful that no moron's had the gall to touch Sholay...

well I can't speak on the actual film until I get to see it. but speaking strictly for this 'main hoon don' video, I think it has quite easily topped the original

Have to agree that I liked this version of Main hoon DON as well. I think with any remake, you have to give your own interpretation of the story. It becomes that much more harder because audiences have seen and loved and know the original. BUt this song promo has gotten me excited about Farhan Akhtar's DON. The original promo where SK says 'I am the King' was terrible. If only he can curb his desire to grimace like that in every scene, he can truly pull this one of!

Cant seem to agree with others who have dissed this movie... I guess it can be said that DON will be, and should be the biggest flops of this year !... Maybe its more tuned towards the NRI crowd

A huge Indian contingent embarks on a dangerous cat-and-mouse trail of capturing DON (Shah Rukh Khan) - the ruthless drug mafia in Malaysia.

When DON gets seriously injured in a police encounter, the word that he is dead begins to do the rounds. The reality, of course, is that DON is held captive in a secret location, while his bumpkin of a look-alike, Vijay, is polished and sent to take down DON's gang.

In a bizarre twist of fate, when the man shielding the humble and streetwise Vijay, is killed, the latter comes to terms with the horrifying realization that both the police and the gang are out to nab him for different reasons.

In a desperate attempt to prove his innocence, he is aided by the glamorously staggering Roma (Priyanka Chopra), and handsomely striking, Jasjit (Arjun Rampal), who owes Vijay a favor for care-taking his son during his imprisonment. But will Vijay be successful in his mission'

Based on the successful erstwhile classic of the same name, which featured the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, the contemporary and stylishly crafted DON, features Bollywood czar Shah Rukh Khan playing a double role in one of the most defining performances of his career, teamed for the first time with former Miss World, Priyanka Chopra.

The biggest and most keenly awaited motion picture of 2006, DON is a high-octane, tension-filled, twisty roller coaster of a ride, with just the right dose of glamour, action, suspense & romance.

Soundtrack now available on iTunes (exclusively? since the CD doesn't appear to be out yet). Sounds pretty good, although Khaike sounds more like a remix than a rearrangement, but Udit sings it well. Sunidhi carries off Yeh Mera Dil very well as well, she's just a supremely talented and versatile singer so kudos to her. Aaj Ki Raat is probably the best song of the lot as it fuses modern with retro very well. Title song is good although parts of it meander, the "Main Hoon Don" line is the peak. Moriaya is a pretty good song though more situational. Special mention goes to the theme pieces as they are fantastic; they pay proper homage to the original while still being very cool to blast on the speakers.

7/10 or so after the first listen.
