What a shame that Ram Gopal Verma has once again bowed down to conventional pressures and added songs to the film. I was so looking forward to a great film without the story and narration being uinterrupted by some inane song.

Oh yeah! And what a shame that the DVD of company is going to suck big time, since it is to be released by Eros.

There is a reason why lot of big productions prefer to bring out lousy quality DVDs for their movies.

Suresh Productions, one of the countries top film producers(mostly in Telugu) and studio owners mentioned that they prefer to bring out low quality DVDs to avoid the cable companies in India from broadcasting high quality movies illegally on TV. This, he said will bring less viewers to theaters where their bottomline comes from.

I really think this is very true with new movies and it must be the reason behind low quality of new movies from Eros. But, I can never understand why they screw up things with old movies!!!

A lot of film makers bank heavily on overseas success of their movies and as such they hire EROS as it is a well known name for distribution and market the film well abroad.

Either than or they have better distribution. So it only makes sense to give the DVD rights to EROS rather than go outside.

Maybe Eros even pushes them into selling the DVD rights to them if they are gonna promote and distribute the film.

Just my 2 cents worth

Another sorry excuse by the Indian film industry for their incompetence.

First of all how does the screening of films on Indian cable TV effect the business of Eros, which distributes the films overseas? Also like you said, how do you explain the quality of old movies.

EXCUSES! EXCUSES! EXCUSES! That is all these stupid companies can come up with.

EROS getting the film/dvd rights to Company was all politics. The people behind this film (Boney Kapoor...and at one point Bharat Shah) have close links with EROS. I doubt no-other distributor would get the film. We can only hope for a decent version to come out from India when DVD becomes a popular format there.

wazzup all!

As you know COMPANY releases here in the USA this Wednesday. I was watching TV Asia or Zee TV (don't know which one), and I saw a longer trailer with the song Khallas with some dialogues from the main actors.
It was pretty cool!

Mohanlal sounds uncanny speaking Hindi! :DD:

Does anyone have this in a video file?

Raj
