I am eagerly waiting for Shyam Benegal's Bose: The Forgotten Hero starring Sachin Kaedkar. Any idea who is releasing the DVD and when?

Eros is the distributor for this movie, so they will release the DVD, not sure when though.

RATS. At least with YRF there's a slight possibility it would get a decent transfer. I wish I could have seen it at the theater, but I suppose an Eros DVD is better than nothing :( :( :(

That link now says $20.99, though I see no evidence that the DVD has actually released. Where is this film? I want to see it.

Even then the DVD isnt out? I want to watch this 3 hours+ movie uncut without any commercials in between. And subtitle is always a bonus.

Q: What went wrong with the release of 'Bose - The Forgotten Hero'?

Mr. Benegal: I had talked to Subroto Roy (chief of Sahara Productions) and he told me that the film’s distribution would be done by Percept as they had handled many of his events. But that being the case, Percept are very good event managers but distribution of 'Bose - The Forgotten Hero' turned out to be more of an experiment for them, suffering thereafter.

Q: Do you feel sad about the way such a magnificent film was released?

Mr. Benegal: It's unfortunate. You know it could not even be released in Captain Laxmi Sehgal's (Azad Hind Force) hometown Kanpur. But now we are planning to release it across India properly.

ZeeTV is advertising Benegal's Bose as "Coming Soon". Going by the clips shown in the ad, it looks like they have a bootleg copy of the film.
