There are lots of films, including Hits, with no decent or semidecent DVDs.

Then, there are some Hit Films with no DVD at all, good or bad. Or, may be you can't find one listed despite extensive search.
Let's post these names in this thread and hope they get out of this situation:
May be, we also can include other nostalgic films even if they were not Hits and have No DVDs avail.

Ones that I have been looking for:

Insaaf Ki Awaaz (Anil Kapoor, Richa Sharma) ---- Super Hit/ Hit
(Vaada Karo To Poora Karo, Dancing In The Rain)

Yeh Raat Phir Na Aayegi (Biswajeet, Sharmila Tagore) ---- Super Hit/ Hit
(Hazoore Waala, Mera Pyar Woh Hai Jo ---)

Hum Naujawan (Dev Annand, debut film of Tabu & Richa Sharma) ---- Not a Hit

-------------------

BTW, I remember Hum Naujawan when released on VHS was merely 80 min length. To salvage the film, someone must have choped off most of the film to make it fast moving, thus ruining it further ??

J.P. Dutta's Hathyar starring Dharmendra and Sanjay Dutt. I'm not really sure if it was a hit or not but it sure as hell was a great film.

Some typical masala films from the 80s:

Dosti Dushmani (Jeetendra, Rajnikant, Rishi Kapoor, Bhanu Priya, Poonam Dhillon, Kimi Katkar)

Paap Ki Duniya - Sunny Deol, Neelam, Chunky Pandey

Aag Hi Aag - Chunky Pandey, Shatrughan Sinha (I think)

DVD probably won't work though - I got the Lok Parlok DVD from Indiaweekly a while ago, and the thing appears to have rotted before I even saw it!

Still waiting for a good DVD of Pakeezah :(

Also 'Mujhe Jeene Do' (Sunil Dutt / Waheeda Rehman)
'Pukar' (Chandramohan / Naseem Bano)
'Daera' (meena Kumari / Nasir Khan)
'Sikandar' (Prithviraj Kapoor)
'Meena Kumari Ki Amar Kahani' (already been mentioned but I've been waiting for this also)
'AmritManthan' (Chandra Mohan / Shanta Apte)
'Duniya Na Mane' (Shanta Apte - have a good VCD of this - but DVD would be nice)

A few of these movies have been shown with excellent quality prints on channel 4 (UK TV) and the National Film Theatre in London - so they are in existence. I guess no one is bringing them out because it isn't proving cost effective. But then again how much does it cost to transfer a third generation VHS to DVD? :D
