ok everyone i'm back. you were probably all wondering where the man who made the post went. i am quite pleased with the results and yes, that 'Waqt' dialouge was real big in its time. i enjoyed the 'Agneepath' one as well. i've brought to the table today are:

Chupke Chupke-Amitabh Bachchan is really bothered by the fact that he can't reveal himself to Jaya as being the english professor. so in a fit of rage he starts yelling, "Main batadun ga ki tum kaun ho, main kaun hun, aur tum (points to Asrani) kaun ho!" Asrani shocked say, "Main tho Prashant (his name in the film) hi hun." Here's that line that gets me every time. Bachchan says, "Batane mein kya hai?"

i realize that was a Bachchan quote but here are a few other comedy ones:

Hera Pheri-Suniel Shetty picks up the phone and Gulshan Grover says, "Kabira speaking." Shetty runs to Paresh Rawal, wakes him up and says that there's a man on the phone who keeps saying Kabira speaking. Paresh then says in his sleep, "Yeh Kabira speaking mast naam hai."

Golmaal-This is a scene i liked: Dina Pathak climbing through the window so the boss won't catch her.

As far as comedy is concerned, I think just about every scene of Padosan is both brilliant and hillarious.

yes i agree Padosan is a great film. another comedy film i feel has a great scene is the Mahabharat scene in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro. Om Puri has a great line about Draupaudi as he says, "Hum saab share holder hain" and Nasrudeen Shah's "Maine vasta haran ka idea drop kardiya hai."
