well saubhagyam is used differently from saying good luck before exam.

for ex. its used if some one wins lottery...u can say o it was his saubhagyam.

but if you must say do well in the exam say something like 'adichu polikku' ...a common slang.

Thanks for the help !
But I wonder which one's better ? "adichu polikku" or "Saubhaagyam" ? Cause the person I know lives in Switzerland and speaks malayalam only with the family, and doesn't know how to write it for example.

Just wondering if in a text message (mobile) : "adichu polikku" will be understood ? But if you say it's common slang then it should be ok.. I'll use that one. :D

btw when you write in our alphabet for example "adichu polikku", it's called Varamozhi right ?

It means I am pleased in you (also something gramatically wrong there)

Quote:
- Njyaan Ninne' Mohikyunnu

I am desiring you

Quote:

- Ngan Ninne Snaehikkunnu

I love you...

But most common one is

Njan ninne premikkunnu.

Sneham = love (but could be friendly love, fatherly love, motherly love or any kind of love)
Premam = love (pyaar)

I need to know how to say "good luck" in malayalam (phoneticly of course - it's called Varamozhi I think) ?

Some new movies soon to be out on dvd:

BIG B

Remake of John Singleton's FOUR BROTHERS with Mammootty as lead. Directed by cinematographer Amal Neerad( RGV's James and Shiva). A slick action entertainer.

HALLO

Inspired by the movie CELLULAR. Mohan Lal plays the lead with beautiful Parvathi Melton. It has a few good comedy scenes. Overall its pretty average.

VINODAYATHRA

The usual family comedy with little bit of drama and romance. Dileep and Meera Jasmine works well. A good family movie.
