No. They were shot in Technovision. Gupt too was shot in Technovision. Actually they don't matter what 'vision' they use as long as it is good lenses. It is a matter of choice for the cinematographer. Panavision is good because it is ground breaking in terms of film cameras and lenses.

Just different companies dealing in lenses and cameras. Panavision is American while Technovision is based more in Europe. A lot of Italian and French films have use this including Bernardo Bertolucci and Federico Fellini. I think it is an italian company.

Panavision is the more state of art company, but Technovision is cool too. The Interpreter used Technovision in some parts. I think most Hindi films use Arriflex cameras equipped with Hawk lenses. Lakshya used Hawk prime anamorphic lenses, I remember Santosh Sivan is a big fan of this. He used Hawk anamorphic lenses on Asoka too. Too bad the movie sucked.
