I know you didn't want mp3s, but just to let you know, someone sent me mp3s of 4 of the songs @ 128kbps and 1 @ 192kbps. A few pops on some of them, unfortunately. They sound decent on my computer speakers, but probably won't sound as good on a better sound system. Very good songs, BTW. Is the film on DVD?

Aruna Kirana

Guru Charanam

Thatharam

Minnaram Manathu

Devasangeetham

Is the DVD of Maestro in concert released? I seemed to have found an internet bootleg of it. Himalayan DVD? claims to be DD5.1

DU, majority of desi shops in LA don't carry non-hindi/bhangra albums :( and the ones that do carry them, they don't have a clue what they are carrying, including south indian owned shops. when do you need Guru by?

Guru - asap. I will send the MP3 that DragunR2 gave me now and if they insist I will send original CD as soon as I get.

I've been listening to the Guru songs lately. Terrific music. I wish IR had given such music for a Tamil film in the late '90s. It actually reminds me of Thiruvasagam at some points because of the orchestral and choral touches. What are IR's best Malayalam albums?

I envy you kchan. IR has done great numbers in MFM than TFM and I just cant understand the meaning, but nevertheless the songs are great. I have the tamil version of Kalapani (Siraichaalai) and I just love Chempoove song. Thanks for the link.

Attirambile sound much better in malayalam. the voice just melts - wonder who is the singer (chitra?). Do you have any recommendation of IR hits in malayalam.

Ilayaraja in RGV's film?
IndiaGlitz [Tuesday, January 03, 2006]

Maestro Ilayaraja is tipped to score music for Ram Gopal Verma's Tamil venture, which is to kick off later this year. The movie being produced by actress Jyothika would feature herself and Suriya in the lead roles.

Ilayaraja and RGV had combined to render a big hit in Siva almost a couple of decades ago. The movie was also dubbed in Tamil as Udhayam.

Interestingly it was Verma who introduced Rehman in Hindi with Rangeela.

Let's hope Ilayaraja and RGV combine to repeat the magic of Siva this 2006.

RGV has completed his Telugu venture Shock starring Ravi Teja and Jyothika.
