Neat website, but isn't it a bit early for them to start promoting the film when it's still in the pre-production phase? I mean, they don't even have a cast yet!

I'm guessing he is doing just the background score and not songs for this film, so it won't take as much time. Maybe he already committed to this beforehand too. In any case, it is a interesting international production, so that may have been attractive.

Does this mean Paani has evaporated?

Whoooooooooaaaa.

What's with the Rahman backlash? :(

I mean, I'll freely admit that The Rising soundtrack wasn't among his best works, but he's still light-years ahead of the pack.

I agree - among the best contemporary Music Composers we have. In fact I loved Mangal Pandey’s Background score and wished they had it as part of the CD.

I heard a really good directional surround sound effects but back ground score apne tou sar ke ooper se guzar gaya shayad :?

But I did like the audio and will continue listening it, even after being disgusted by those songs in the film.

His back ground in Warriors of Heavens was very good, but even there did not quite fit the film!

That seems to be a common complaint from everyone i know - either i was dreaming or you have to really look for it to get it , walking out of the theater i was pretty convinced the background score by ARR was good/great. But having no access to BGM, i can't confirm it :( - best to wait and see it on DVD i guess

I loved Lagaan Back ground score, even if it was laid back, and subtle! Not too aggressive!

Parineeta is another recent film, back ground sucked!

My sentiments exactly. I thought the background score at some places in Mangal Pandey, was really outstanding.

Doesn't surprise me a bit. Shekhar Kapur often abandons projects. One shouldn't get excited over announcements of his films since there's a very good chance he won't even do it.
