The movie in general is very dull. Its totally dark, even when they are walking in sun light!. Also, I captured using Blaze DVD. Not sure if its because of that. My power DVD is corrupted somehow and I am wainting for their support to fix my s/w. Not sure if the DVD quality is bad or Blaze DVD is bad. I did saw this in my projector also, and didnt find any grains/issues.

BTW, do you know any other s/w that can capture screen shots?

it could very well be due to the software that you used to capture the images.

I noticed that with PowerDVD set to Hardware acceleration, the contrast and colors were much better. I have some stupid nvidia 5xxx card. I capped Nenunnanu by iDream. came out great. i'll post the shots when i get home this evening.

and thanks for your effort DU

The PQ does look dark than normal , perhaps the film uses urban lighting to add to the mood of the film . I saw it in on a pirated VHS copy so I have nothing solid to reference it with. This movie is on my wishlist/waitlist and will prob be getting this along with Khadal and Kudaikul Mazhai ( wheneven they get released on DVD) .

Thanks DU for those snapshots . Does this have DTS ?

BTW - I saw Mogamul listed on your site. How is the film? . I have not seen it but given I am a sucker for artsy-watsi films in any language I would like to snag a copy. Snapshots will be greatly appreciated.

Mogamul was better in book than movie. The good things are the music and lyrics. the PQ is poor (just like any other pyramid), but if you are watching in 27 inch TV, it should be okay. Snapshot in a seperate topic.[/img]

This movie has two part as before she accept his love and after she accept it. The color is based on the mood of the part which influenced the audience as in KADHAL.

DU has posted only the snaps from first part.

Overall, this was an awesome movie. I enjoyed it a lot. It has a sense of realism that most movies (read: bollywood) lack. The roles and the story were very well written and worked well on screen. Very rare gem!

I saw only few scenes to know the DVD quality back in Feb, but yesterday I watched the whole movie [cuz I dont have any other movie left to see!]. I must admit that it is a very good movie. From the start upto the intervel, we know that its gonna be sad movie and everything, but the movie kept us happy :D and laughing

Like KB mentioned, Selvaragavan can defintely be called next KB.No doubt about that.

Forgot to mention, YSR did a GREAT job in BGM. I always thought we are going to missing BGM after IR and now I have not even 1% doubt about BGM. After IR, YSR will definitely rule TFM.

This was a horrible movie...I mean the script was terrible. Direction and acting was fine...there is realism etc. Music was good. but what a horrible, stupid, pathetic piece of story.

Selvaraghavan movies...first half always interesting....second half totally idiotic.
