and how come they dont release hits like Arindhum ariyaamalum?

Should I rent the VGP version?

DVDU mentioned that all the copies he tried to watch would freeze up halfway.

I saw sachin and its nice if you like a little romantic angle. Its a paler version of kushi. Overall not a horrible movie or anything..timepass.

Vijay, bah, I don't waste my time with his films. I may watch Kushi and Kadhalukku Mariyadhai someday, but other than that his films look like the same old Rajini-rip-off stuff.

The producer is close associate of VGP and thats why they have got the DVD rights. Also if Gajni comes to theatre in NJ, see it in Theatre. The movie will be good, since it is by the director who made Ramana (if you havent seen Ramana, watch it first, its a must watch) and on top of that Surya movies are really good now a days and on top of that the DVD will be released by VGP!!!

Watch Ramana first. You wont see Vijaykanth, but will see Ramana there. I cant think of ANY OTHER ACTOR IN INDIA who can do this job. He did real great. Apart from Ramana, I have every other Vijayakanth movie, so dont think that I am a crazy Vijayakanth fan

Gajni - may come to NJ. Lets hope!

Anniyan - Yes it is by Aynagaran only by end Aug.

Again, watch Ramana. If you are worried to spend a $ on this, come to my store over the week-end and I will rent it for free. It is a must see movie!

Infact this is the only movie I played to all the NI folks who came to my house to see my home theatre setup. If you have a nice speaker system, IRs BGM will blow you up. If you replace Vijayakanth with some hollywood star, then you would think that its some amazing english movie. The BGM is pretty cool and Tamilini did a good job with DTS as well.

VGP's Arindhum ariyaamalum wouldn't play on my dvd player. I had to watch it on my PC. I didn't exprience any freezing while watching it on my computer. But the quality is horrible. The transfer look like some pirate crap. :x Thanks VGP.

But luckily the movie is very good. Navdeep, Arya and Prakash Raj did a great job portraying their characters. Arya is a great new find and really stood out as menancing rowdy. I felt the ending was a little rushed and wanted more. Rent it.

Stay the hell away from SUKRAN. It's an awful movie.

Saw arindhum ariyaamalum....its ok. Dont have big expectations about it. I was not particularly entertained by this film...the guy arya was good (John abraham of tamil in the making??) and other guy was ok except his voice. WHAT A CRAP DVD!!! I think thats the main reason i didn't enjoy this film that much. But after watching anniyan, movies with slow screenplay or not that much happening is really hard to watch.

SACHEIN -what a stinkin pile of crap. The smoke, rain, fog, fights, special effects, Vadivelu, everything's just overdone to max. WTF is up with the smoke. Damn smoke everywhere, even in an indoor basketball court. I thought I could atleast watch a decent fight scene in the rain even that was horribly edited.

On the other hand THIRUPACHI was enjoyable. Take out all the filler songs that comes whenever Trisha sees Vijay and some emotional scenes, you'll have a pretty entertaining movie.

I am tired of watching these crappy movies. R(d)ecent tamil movies are

Amudhae - Excellent acting by Prakash Raj and the new heroine
Arindhum Ariyamalum - Excellent acting by Prakash Raj and his adapted son
Kana Kandaen - Excellent performance by Villian (a malayalam hero itseems)
Maayavi - Well.. Surya and Jo at their best
Ullam Ketumae - Everything abt this movie is good

Rest of the tamil movie are shit. Forgot to say, stay away from Bunty Aur Bubly. Its for headless brains  - I mean no logic in it.

The first half of RAAM was really good. The second half was really slow. Jeeva did his character really well. The music by YSR is enjoyable. The dark mood of the film is set by the excellent cinematography by Ramji. Ameer shows a lot of maturity in his direction. The movie is worth checking out.
