'Teesri Manzil' remade

When Vijay Anand (director) and Nasir Hussain (producer) combined to make 'Teesri Manzil', did they know that a remake of their film would be made in distant future? That's exactly what has happened!

While Ishaa Koppikar will play Asha Parekh, newcomer Niketan Dheer (actor Pankaj Dheer's son) will don Shammi Kapoor's avatar. Debutante Khushi plays the role of Sunita's murdered sister Rupa and Prem Chopra's part is essayed by Mukesh Rishi. Voluptuous and item-number specialist Rakhi Sawant will be Jenny (Helen's character, called Ruby in the original).

A London based gentleman is producing the film. Hussain. Jagdish Sharma ('Sapoot', 'Nazar Ke Saamne') has donned the director's hat. Himesh Reshammiya has been assigned to do the tunes. The film is slated for a July release.
