I watched the PATI-PATNi AUR Woh DVD, by Yashraj...and I must say I was disgusted by the quality.... This DVD has completely spoiled my appetite for YASHRAJ DVDs ... Why do I say this ?

1.) This DVD has been authored by PRASAD DIGITAL VIDEO ( unlike our Fav..Superdigital ). http://www.real-image.com/meet/jan.asp

2.) This master used for transfer is CLEAN and there are no signs of pixellations in the DVD, more like DEI quality...:nervous:

3.) Sound is pseudo 5.1 though it is much better than some of DEI's recent audio (like Agar Tum Na Hote for e.g)

4.) Avg Bit Rate for Video is consistenly more than 5 Mbps !!! Strange, what is happening with YASHRAJ....

I will post some screencaps of this "LOUSY" DVD later on :vsneaky:

Shame on you YASHRAJ for ditching SUPERDIGITAL

By the way, who else likes the special appeareance at the end?? I thought it was friggin fantastic back in the '80s when open endings were not very common.

And also, that animation intro has NUDITY in it!!! That was shocking for an Indian film.

Does anyone know, which other Yashraj DVDs have been authored by Prasad labs??

There are tons of excellent films in Yashraj list but only the PPAW quality is worth buying.

Rana to answer your question..I found out today that

EK DUJE KE LIYE and

MILAN have been authored by Prasad Digital Video !

I have a lurking suscpicion that all films under the PRASAD art banner may be authored by PRASAD DIGITAL !

can someone do a preview of Pati Patni or Woh DVD - I am getting curious about this transfer...

Also guys, do any of you have the Satyamev Jayate DVD. This was another fave of mine (back from the 80s) and I am anxious to see if it's as good as some of DEI's older films like Ali Baba.
