Swades came in 2004. Gets a 2005 debutant award?? LOL

Ummm, awards around the world work in the same fashion. You can't win an award for 2005 yet because the year isn't over yet. You win awards based on your work in the last completed year. Though admitted that May is pretty late to do it, but that's what you get when you have 800 award shows.

So true , though i think she was very good in Swades ( i guess i like the film so much that i can digest any award given to it )
