Oh! miyan, you too! I do have a lot of company though! Anyway here's breaking news

James Bond Role to Be Filled by U.K.'s Daniel Craig, Sun Says
April 6 (Bloomberg) -- British actor Daniel Craig, whose movie work includes ``Sylvia,'' ``Road to Perdition'' and ``Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,'' has been picked to be the new James Bond, replacing Pierce Brosnan, the U.K.'s Sun reported today, citing an unidentified person in the film industry.

Craig, 37, will probably sign a 15 million-pound ($28.2 million) agreement to make three Bond films after being offered the part by producer Barbara Broccoli, the newspaper said. The actor appeared last month in the television version of Robert Harris's novel ``Archangel.''

Broccoli made the offer to Craig after Oscar-nominated Clive Owen, who was being considered for the role, told casting agents he didn't want the job, the Sun reported.

Craig would become the sixth actor to play the British spy 007, a role first taken on by Sean Connery in the 1962 film ``Dr. No.'' Katherine McCormack, a spokeswoman for Eon Productions in London, which produces the Bond films, declined to comment in a telephone interview.

By the way rumor had it that Brosnan's greed got in the way. It is said that his asking price was too much for the Broccoli's!

This suspense game is getting bigger than the soon to be crap!

"There are a few pathetic, pasty-skinned, wifeless guys who sit in their apartments in London with nothing better to do than make up crap," says an irate John Cork, author of James Bond: The Legacy and director of many "behind the scenes" Bond documentaries.

I knew that! Hehehehe!!!!!

Meanwhile, the latest rumor is that Pierce Brosnan may reprise the role one more time for the big screen. ANI

Well. well! the search for the new Bond is getting weirder by the day! A feminine Bond? Hmmmmm......

The name's Bond, Miss Bond

18/04/2005 - 11:05:09

Actress Famke Janssen asks why the next 007 must be a man.

“It is 2005, anything can happen. I think even James Bond being black is a great idea. I think James Bond could be a woman at this point,” she says.

But according to the rumour mill, Janssen might be disappointed, and Daniel Craig may be donning the tuxedo instead.

Janssen, of course, is already known to Bond fans as Xenia Onatopp, who crushed her victims between her thighs in Golden Eye.

Gulshan Grover's going after Bond!

[ Thursday, October 27, 2005 11:26:39 amPTI ]

LONDON: Bollywood's famous villain Gulshan Grover has been cast as the baddie opposite Daniel Craig in the next James Bond movie, "Casino Royale."

Grover, 50, a veteran who has essayed several memorable roles in Hindi films, will play the role of Le Chiffre in the film based on Ian Fleming's first James Bond book by the same name.

Said Grover: "To be in "Casino Royale" would be a real honour to me and my country."

Shooting for the Bond film is due to begin in Prague in February 2006. Grover said although he had commitments around that time, he would drop everything else, if required, to act in the film.

He told the Evening Standard: "In India the character of the villain is so integral to our storytelling.

“I have always enjoyed playing memorable 'bad men' and which villains are more memorable than Bond villains such as Blofeld from "You Only Live Twice" and Scaramanga from "The Man With The Golden Gun"?

Grover added: "I have played so many negative characters in my time that people in India are often too scared to talk to me."

Grover will be the first Indian to act in a Bond film since tennis star Vijay Amritraj and Kabir Bedi played important roles in "Octopussy" (1983). He has featured in several films outside India including "Beeper" (2002), a thriller starring Harvey Keitel.

Grover met Prince Charles at Clarence House Tuesday night and later said: "It was great to meet the prince. He is a man I have much admiration for."
