Julie Ganapathy from Tamilini also has Telugu subtitles.

While I was in India I watched some of the Sony DCH DVD, which has subs in every major Indian language, and I watched some of it with Tamil subtitles. "Woh Ladki Hai Kahan" became "andha penn engae irukkaal" :)

Where did you see Swades with Tamil subtitles?

sweet! but i can't read any indian scripts :( they all look like koreon to me :P

DU, yeah, I know re: Bombai. I've always wondered why they don't continue that trend?? another mani ratnam dvd with both audio tracks is "Geethanjali" aka "Idayathai Thirudaathe". I watched this movie in both telugu and tamil. heart warming story! i like nagarjuna in serious roles like these, but he hasn't had anything serious, that i can recollect, since his last film with RGV.

Okay AP is ayngaran, so they decided to start releasing DVDs in India also, so they launced with some Mani's collection as well. The print is going to be exactly same in most cases, but in some cases with out DTS / subtitles.

Normally tamil DVDs take 3 months to come in DVD after the movie release and in AP case its going to be 6 months atleast.

Just like the way they started Shruthi and stoped eventually, I am sure they will stop AP in India also, since the price is different from Ayngaran price and that will create un-necessary issue for Ayngaran. either they will have to reduce Ayngaran price or they will have to give less quality AP. They cant do both.

Starting from a week from now, you will see etailers slowly start selling these products (just like the way we started selling TSeries DVD! and now they in main US market)

In addition, ppl will also bring in DVDs from other companies, like Raj Video, who used to do VHS and VCD and now in DVD market.

I predicted this few months back. With the release of "Arindhum Ariyamalum" VGP Video Vision is in USA DVD market. I am not sure if Ayngaran will eventually release teh DVD for the same movie (they may, because they released the CD).

So the line between Original and pirated DVD is narrowing. Its hard even for retailers to find out which one is original and which one is pirated.

We are going to sell Arindhum Ariyamalum because the distributor convinced us that they have legal rights. Lets see...

BTW I will look at the quality and let you guys know how it is before you place the order (movie had good reviews)

Thanks

WARNING ABOUT ARINDHUM ARIYAMALUM

THIS DVD has manufacturer's defect (VGPDVD). It freezes in between and this freezing is consistent in all the copies. Please do not buy this DVD.

I talk to Ayngaran and they will be releasing this DVD as well in August/September. This is a very good movie to watch and for those interested plesae wait till Aug/Sep.

I am removing this movie from our site, but this is FYI so you wont waste your time ordering this DVD.
