1) It's not 3 ex-zulmis. Only one. Other two atre still active zulm members.
2) It's not that idream is so incompetent, it's that they asked for feedback and wanted to know what quality concious consumers want.
3) Why EROS YRF VS don't consult??
At one time I asked one of the DVD right holders to use a pirate but much better (one zulm member called it a work of master tech, in one of the posts) DVD. As they had the rights, they were free to use a pirate for replication. But, they said, their own version is good enough. Nothing doing. Why should they, when no one, other than me, demands it??

I was about to post this yesterday before I got called away, that was before faddy had one he's pre-marriage spaz attacks.. anyways, in reply to rana’s post on page 1…
1) Hence the ( ) around the 'ex'
2) Didn't have Idream in mind, I've not come across any of their Telugu DVDs to comment. It seems strange though to be assessing what quality of DVD to give to consumers when the DVD market had matured and is about to go into decline as the next-gen formats is already being tantalised to consumers. The technical briefs, quality standards and consumers expectations should already be known and they should be delivering consistence quality DVD video like hundreds if not thousand of companies are already doing. This is the gripe with Bollywood DVD from Eros, YRF and alike, they have never consistency delivered any kind of quality.
3) Many, others than you, have in past and still do demand quality DVDs. Mostly when I talked to DVD companies in the past they point blank to refused to acknowledge that there is anything wrong with their DVDs, you can throw as much tech stuff at them as possible because they don’t understand it either. You can only talk and bang your head against the wall so many times.

..It is fault both ways, MAKERS and CONSUMERS we are all CORRUPT one way or the other!! By buying bad products, buying pirates etc etc etc..keep going and then coming back to same issue" EGG OR CHICKEN"
Consumers might be corrupt, I’ve seen people buy thousands pounds/dollars worth of home cinema equipment yet they refuse to buy any legit DVDs, VCDs are good enough as long as in your living room there’s high end cinema equipment that you can brag about. There’s a simple two solutions to consider here; one is that all consumers stop pirating and legitimately buy all their DVDs. And once all the pirating has stopped – Eros, YRF and alike can come along assess the situation and say OK, ours customers have stopped their naughty practices and we can finally give them good quality DVDs – before this of course they didn’t deserve it as they’re so naughty as to dare to pirate our stuff. Second solution would be for the DVD guys to actually make good DVDs consistency (on media that last more than month would be good too

) and stop giving corrupt consumers an easy ride to justify piracy. People pirating have a way too easy time justifying their habit – its easy – media doesn’t last, quality is crap so what’s the point in buying legit. If the legit DVD is not delivering the home cinema experience they are used to with their Hollywood DVDs then they don’t need to buy the DVDs. Simplifying it maybe too much, its either in the power of consumers to bring about quality DVDs or DVD authors just start producing quality DVD in hope that consumers take up their offers. I see only one of these groups having the power to start the ball rolling, and it isn’t the consumers. Until then piracy is this arena justified.
