Art/Foreign and Musical/Performing Arts

2 hrs. 00 min. The determined Mrs. Bakshi sets out to find marriage matches for her four beautiful daughters while there's a lavish wedding party in town. Right away, the smart and headstrong Lalita (Aishwarya Rai) announces she will only marry for love, giving her mother nightmares. Then Lalita meets the wealthy American Will Darcy (Martin Henderson) and sparks immediately fly. But is it love or hate? Darcy comes off to Lalita as an arrogant California snob. Lalita looks to Darcy like a small-town Indian beauty who knows nothing of the world. Alternately enchanted by and suspicious of one another, Lalita and Darcy nearly fall prey to assumptions, gossip and a comedy of errors . . . until pride is humbled and prejudice overcome so that love can triumph.

DVD! No comment Sanjay, atleast it was anamorphic lol.

Film..kahan se shuraat karoun!!

Chadha has churned out an utterly rubish and ridculous product by any standard. Hindi film's crap candy floss style, or Hollywood mature style, or her own BILB style.

But if Ebert liked it for whatever reason! God help Chadha!

Call Chadha opportunistic or what, it appears so long as she does not get over her Rai fixation she is not going to be able to deliver a hit in recent times......B&P was ok...but just about....it had its clever moments when it was poking fun at Hollywood(though Chadha chooses to call it a tribute). It worked to a certain extent but in the end it was sans any soul!

And after this she's making MISTRESS OF SPICES also with Miss Plastic Face.....well we all know the result dont we...sight like Ram Gopal Verma's fixations, Chadha seems to have her very own now !

Anyone know what date Aishwarya’s appearance on the Ophray Winfrey Show will be televised?

Looks like, it did not materialize. Aish's official?? web site has no mention of this appearance. Other appearances are listed.
http://www.aishwaryaworld.com/index.html

Indiafm news, dated Feb 10, had said, "will soon make an appearance on the renowned Oprah Winfrey show".
http://www.indiafm.com/scoop/05/feb/1002ash/index.shtml
If it didn't appear at the time of B&P US premiere, then no chance now.

---------------------------

BTW, Canadian news papers have lots of publicity reviews and big news paper adverts one week in advance of B&P release here. At the rate of this publicity and wide release, even a worst of the worst case scenario will get a huge Box Office #s as compared to B&P costs.

Well to each his own..but IMHO you are mistaken, Aish is naturally pretty and hardly Plastic as you suggest..better go get your vision checked! :P

Thank you for allowing me the opinion.....but suggesting that i get my vision checked is a tad out of place I would think....I could ask you to perhaps get your taste rectified, no? That would be deviating from the decorum we all try hard to maintain here.....i shall leave it at that 8)
