I hope we get one good dvd of Veer-Zaara, and not a one disk now and then a 2 disk later. I guess that woud be too much to ask for.

Ali, Play.com site clearly states it to be a R2 disc. It doesn't say NTSC or PAL. Other DVDs listed on same page have a clarifying statement that they are NTSC discs and buyer should check their systems compatibility.

Any chance R2 Veer Zara really will be PAL?? If direct telecine, it'll be progressive by default.

If so, this sure will be the choice as opposed to most likely PAL to NTSC converted Field Averaged DVD for North America

Consider

Play.com and quality.

K3G and quality.

DTPH (anamorphic) and quality.

Moreover, it's quite possible that YRF telecine VZ in India to save on costs and then somehow make a PAL DVD first. This will be logical.

Gone are the days....it's history of Yashraj DVDs.

"R2 - Will only play on European Region 2 or multi-region DVD players."

It's a standard statement for any DVD on play.com.

I think the site will add following statement under "Special Feature" after the DVD is released as I see the same statement with other released hindi DVDs.

"Please note: this is an NTSC disc, please check the compatibility of your TV prior to ordering this title. For more information, please refer to our FAQ."
