I didn't like the Veer Zaara songs. They're not bad but there's nothing that caught my ear, except for Lata's aged voice.

I liked the album. Usually, I don't bother with yrf albums. The only track that I would say I like the least is "lodi", but I still like it nonetheless. The qawali track and "aisa des hai mera" are probably my favorites. I would love to see the movie end with the qawali, it sounds similar to the qawali in pardes when it picks up the pace towards the end . And, I like how gurdas mann starts off "aisa des hai mera" in punjabi, and then udit sings in hindi, then gurdas comes back again in the interlude in punjabi. I think its better than mixing punjabi and hindi throughout the song. very nice lyrics to the song, btw. "Do Pal" is another great song, imo. Overall, I enjoyed the album. Hopefully the movie will be as good.

My folks wished upon the star, if this cd could be misplaced some where, so they wont have to listen to these boring songs!
I remember same folks adored DTPH music! When I brought that disc home!

Beside! it showing age! Lata as a choice for seven songs was terrible!

a couple songs given to Asha Ji or Alka etc! e,g Lodi, and Hum tou, would have been a real favour to her, saving her from disgrace!

I personally love Lata!! Her last a few songs that I adore are: Jiya Jalle..dil se,
Khamoshiyan..1,2 ka 4,
Sogaya hai..etc zubaida,
even I liked her better in MDK.Mohabtaen..she was awesome picturized on Aish.
It is not her fault, it is Chopra's fault, making her sing tunes, not her age friendly...

KKKG, she barely made it in Bhajan style! Lagaan, Pukar..she was OK, for Bhajan sake.

Any info whether Veer Zara is coming out with DTS prints??

It's being shown in Ottawa in the 2nd weekend in a DTS theatre that doesn't have DD.

Albion Woodside in Toronto too are DTS equipped and don't have DD.

BTW, what do you think BO performance will be like??

My prediction: It'll recover it's cost because of SRK, hype and music. Otherwise, it's no DTPH.

Forget abt VZ, watch MEA in DTS

Mughal-e-Azam puts Bollywood ahead of Hollywood

By IndiaFM News Bureau, October 29th, 2004 - 1000 hrs IST

We regularly hear about technical advancements of Hollywood over Bollywood. But finally one Bollywood film has outrun Hollywood in the technological development arena. It took one Mughal-e-Azam to finally prove that Indians are not behind in new age innovation.

Hollywood companies have been successful in colorizing films only for a TV/DVD release, so far. Mughal-e-Azam is the first film in the World Cinema that is being colorized for a big screen release. The original blockbuster that released in 1960 was in 85% Black and White and 15% Color format. The refurbished version is completely colored with Dolby/DTS Surround Sound.

No action in this thread as new thread on Veer Zaara started.

But, this thread lacked just one more post to make it a "Popular Thread" (25 posts).
So, here it is. :D
