Its just a rumor but this is great news....Apparently your Fav. company Video-Sound may release the film and eventually the DVD (atleast in North America)... Now you can expect some great DVD quality etc etc....

Not just a rumour, its been on Video Sound homepage for last week or so – check other Aankhen threads.

If they have any degree of self respect, dignity or an ounce of decency left they’ll pull out all the stops to make this DVD decent (dam! that sounds desperate :cry: )

Expensive TITLE SONG of AANKHEN!!

Rumour : Confidential sources inform us that you are in the process of adding another song to your film, AANKHEN. We are told that the fast-paced number, which has been given a slick and techno-savvy look, will be shot with a record number of dancers participating in it and will be amongst the highlights of the film. We are told that the song is being added in keeping with the fact that the film will be premiered at the prestigious I.I.F.A. Awards, to be held in Malaysia. How far is it true?

Gaurang Doshi : The news is not entirely true. We are indeed shooting a song with 32 dancers, which is being picturised on Amit-ji. But the song is the title track of the film, which we had deliberately held back to shoot in the end. It is being choreographed by Remo Fernandes and cinematographer Ashok Mehta will be playing with a record number of lights in the song. The song is unique and it is also being shot in a unique way.
:cool: for AB fans!! come on faddy!

What I fail to understand is, that there was a time when Video Sound made atleast reasonably decent DVDs (case in point HDDCS) with a proper 5.1 DD soundtrack. Although they were always inconsistent, atleast a few of their DVDs used to have proper 5.1 sound, then why did they stop. I mean why do they now consistently not have a 5.1 track? Anyone have any idea regarding this?
Also since Super Digital has done some decent transfers, why is it that some of their transfers are so bad, specially why are they not consistent with 5.1 tracks? I presume they have the equipment, after all they have doen some decent 5.1 transfers. As a matter fo fact the first Hindi DVD with a 5.1 track was Koyla, which was mastered by Super Digital.

I never saw HDDCS, mastered by SD for video sound, as it was in short supply till remade by media dimension!! I believe?

But in my opinion the BEST DVD mastered by SDigital was AB, film, that went unnoticed!! SOORYAVANSHAM, very beautiful picture and sound!! IMO!! if any body has seen any better transfer by super digital, i would like to know pls.?:vsneaky:

the video sound version of HDDCS was excellent and i thought it was awesome when i first saw it, in some cases i think it was even better than sooryavansham!! The only reason why i changed my copy for the DEI version was because it was correctly presented in its original AR and it was anarmophic!! Another great transfer was ABs Kohraam

Faddy just for Nostalgia sake..... the best picture done by SD were the following :-

Gharwali Baharwali, etc.... Can you beat the Full Frame image and also the vibrant colors of that DVD :D (..as quoted by Faddy's Jaan-e-Jigar - Habshi aka MO)

What's all this about then? on Indiafm.com;

“h o t h o t h o t
March 14, A Dangerous game is about to begin...”

..has the Aankhen release been brought forward to this week? Or something else happening? :keh:

I believe Taran (the moronic) Adarsh gets a special preview on March 14 and will provide his "views" on IndiaFM. Knowing Taran's habits, he'll probably ruin the movie by giving out all the spoilers. The movie is still scheduled to release April 5th.
