I concur with you RANA ji on this one!! Masala flicks have their own place(NO BRAINER)!! like popcorn MUMMY RETURN!! man!! movie was a non stop roller coaster ride!!
I can not compare hindi movies, esp when they get inspired from a western flick!! I did enjoy a lONG KISS GOOD NIGHT!for its action and story plot was fine too!! Esp I was really impressed with GINA DAvIS's transformation from a house wife to a SPY!!
But whenever i saw a hindi version, masalatized!! the results are awefull!e.g wedding singer, parent trap, ajnabee etc etc!! whatever they butcher a decent ,coherent plot into an INDECENT,INCOHERENT, and even RIDICULOUS version!! It really amazes me!!One movie i would like to see HINDIZED was EXCESS BAGGAGE!! with Alicia Silverstone, I thought it would make a typical masala hindi film very well? :vsneaky: I dont know how the lplot has been butchered in TNBP case till i see the movie!! :vsneaky:

One Indianized movie was “Jhuk Gaya Asmaan” which was copy of late 40s or early 50s original titled “Here Comes Mr Jordan”. It was also copied into "Heaven Can Wait". I liked "Here Comes Mr Jordan" as a classic. I liked “Jhuk Gaya Asmaan” even more because of added color, songs and comedy. I could never sit through “Heaven Can Wait” video.

radiosargam's verdict!! ek ticket maen do mazey!! wah!!

On the whole, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge looks like two films (one in each half) pieced together. Considering its high price, it will keep its distributors in the red.

Man that is one UGLY cover! Get rid of the top off (the two kissing), move up the three some, keep the redness touch in the title and give it a black border, it would look much better!

That's the problem eith Indian dvd covers. The original artwork is alright but the dvd version especially DEi will be a little over the top.

I have sometimes found that stopping the DVD when the initial ads are being displayed and then pressing the 'MENU' button takes control to the main menu of the feature presentation. It has worked consistently with many DVDs. You may want to try that.

Thanks, I am aware of this but as far as I can remember it does not work with the DEI titles. Also there are a lot of titles that disable all the control buttons including the Stop button too. Also even when it does work you still have to wait thru the stupid animated menu to run through.

planet bollywood's verdict with ratingof 6/10 and viewers rating so far 7.8/10.

Tumko Na Bhool Payenge suffers on so many levels. Rumi Jaffrey´s lack of coherent script along with Pankaj Parashar´s haphazard direction make the film seem rushed and half baked. The special effects and cinematography add a lot of style to the movie and it´s definitely fun to stare at. But nothing sinks in. The artistes seems just as bored with the movie as the audience is. Although the hot and happening star cast looks great, they don´t act with enough conviction to add to the movie. The action scenes are well carried out, but that is only in the second half. The film could have been so much more, had the technical team actually been motivated enough. Sadly we´re left with what seems to be a majorly underdeveloped product, that manages to entertain you in some portions, but overall falls flat on it´s face.

this one sounds encouraging!

After debacles like Rajkumar and Himalayputra director Pankaj Parashar scores a point with Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge though it isn't as good as a Jalwa or Chaalbaaz. Sajid-Wajid's music is not worth remembering. Diya Mirza is just there. She displays more ethnic clothes and make-up than talent. Not that her role called for any talent anyways.

Comparatively, Sushmita Sen is excellent in whatever she has to do. Her presence though only after the interval, is enough to keep you glued to your seat.

The script obviously focuses on our hero and Salman Khan certainly has his moments. But this time too he does remember to remove his shirt once too often. Oops! After all, he is Salman Khan!!! How could we "forget" that?
FORGET ME KNOT!

hey guys, I checked out the DEI disc today. Pretty decent anamorphic video with vibrant colours, decent detail and no artifacts. It looks very good on my 53' TV so it would look reference quality on smaller TVs. I couldn't tell if the picture is vertically squashed or not, so even if it is, it isn't visible!! (Unlike Abhay)

The sound is excellent 5.1 with AWESOME directional effects and some really loud bass.

No extras except for a trailer. The only annoying thing about this DVD is that it has unskippable ads in the beginning, lasting for 3 mins or so.

As for the movie itself, I LOVED it. It's a popcorn masala film made for entertainment alone. There's some cool action, great songs, and the beautiful Diya Mirza!! Even Salman doesn't overract. Definately worth buying on DVD.
