Seeing as I sparked off a whole lot of commotion with my Kamal Hassan mention, I am back with another controversial pick. Though I am glad that some like DragunR2 and Sunny see my point, and I agree with them totally.

Now here's my next pick for overrated: Madhuri Dixit

Once again, she's good and all, but she has been mentioned as the female Amitabh, which to me is wayyyy overrated. She neither has the star charisma of AB or his acting talents; hell she probably wouldn't make my list of top 5 actresses of all time (which includes the likes of Nargis, Nutan, Meena Kumari, Smita Patil, Shabana Aazmi, Waheeda Rahman, etc.), yet many people claim her to be an all-time great. And I understand beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but I never found her that attractive.

There I said it, now bring on the flames .

Well if you read my post, I was comparing him to AB, Naseer, Om Puri, Manoj Bajpai, etc. If you think those are Laloo Panchu stars, then we're just going to have to agree to disagree.

Calling Kamal Hassan an institution and stuff like that is what makes me feel he is overrated, but I think Dragun and Sunny hit the nail on the head with what I was trying to say about him (specially Dragun's point about physical transformations).

And if you think Kamal was great in Hindustani, Sadma, and Chachi 420, then you really need to see Nayakan, where he performs better than all those films combined.

I dont think, MANOJ Bajpai etc are of calibre of Kamla Hasan!

Naseer is a TRUE ACTOR!

AMITABH again is a STAR ACTOR!

Now OM PURI, NANA etc, whatever they do , the do it GOOD!
Manoj is DECENT ACTOR too, if he does not over axct! I liked him better in AKS than BIG BACHAN!

Overrated! If you ask me almost the whole Hindi film industry is way overrated. But the hypocricy is that at the same time there are a select few who are underrated in this industry full of fools.

By the way today I happened to accidently be flipping channels on tv and lo & behold what do I come accross, A new Award Ceremony. I bet your saying so what's the new (big deal) about that. Well the big deal is that these awards were by Star TV and on Star TV to honor the best of Star TV. Can you beat this?
