Sunny Posted a Review of this DVD/Flim from a DVD Net site: Click Here To Read

The reviewer states that the audio is Dolby Digital Stereo, does he mean only 2 channels, because if he does then the DVD really sucks. Can someone confirm for me whether the DVD has real 5.1 sound or not. Because if it does then I am interested in it and certainly not if it is only in Stereo.

Thanks for the warning Arsh bhai, but does this mean there is no Kaante DVD with proper 5.1 sound available anywhere? Also if the sound is as bad as you say, then how come the company that put out this DVD is making it out to be as god's gift to Hindi DVD audiences?

You are RIGHT, I only EXPECT, that their will be a PAL to NTSC R1 Edition sooner or laterz!!

KAANTE with OAR/ANAMORPHIC and a DD 5.1 TRACK, would have been DIVINE!

I fail to understand how these reviewers can give 3 out of 4 stars for the audio when the presentation is not in the original 5.1 sound. In my opinion even if the DVD had the best 2.0 Pro logic sound ever, I still would not give it more than 2 out of 4 stars, simply because not having the original 5.1 sound on a DVD in today's day & time and that too of a popular recent new film, is totally inexcusable.

Faddy bhai your probably right ....

Anyhow the guy responded pretty quick to my email and refunded me the amount for the DVD and told me to keep it. As well he will update the Amazon.ca site to reflect that it is the T-Series DVD and not the WinMedia DVD which is currently advertised. FYI the T-Series DVD (2nd copy I know own) has a different menu than the original ones that came out. I will post 4-5 shots later.

How does one differentiate between the old and new T-Series version of Kaante. I hapen to have the first DVD released by T-Series (full of ads in between the film) and let me tell you, one would be hard pressed to find a worse DVD than that, so I would hate to be stuck with another of the same.

Sanjay Bhai ... stick with yours, the differences though would be there are no ads, PowerDVD states 5.1 but like Arsh Bhai already mentioned it could be Mono 5 and tricked PowerDVD to think it is 5.1, the T-Series logo instead of being on the left is on the right and oh yeah it has removable subtitles ... PQ looks the same. I still have the original T-Series without subtitles, I ordered the WinMedia version but got stuck with this 'new' T-Series DVD, luckily I got my money back and also got to keep this DVD as well so now I have 2 T-Series Kaante DVDs :x
